Swung by during lunch today. Progress.

The tow hitch appears to be back on the design studio. Guess it was just a temporary oversight.

Just did an online chat with Tesla and asked about it. This is what they said:

I was about to place my order this morning finally but no tow hitch is a no go for me. I know there are third party options but I don't want to mess with that. I'm really hoping it's just standard now but they haven't updated the design studio photos to reflect the update.

I wonder if this is now a standard feature similar to the Model X or if it just isn't an option at all anymore. Any ideas?

Ready to pull the trigger as soon as I can see the 7 seat option on the configurator.

Really? No issues in 1.5 years using mine. I wouldn't want to go back to a fob because carrying keys feels like the past. But to each their own.

The only problem with all of that is it requires both you and your car to have an internet connection. I often take my M3 to mountain areas with no signal or data connection. So until the X gets this amazing bluetooth feature that my M3 has, it won't fit my particular use situation. I'm sure...

Still no word on this unfortunately. :-/
