I have the same issue. They changed my seat and the noise went away. 3 months later it’s back and now have a seat on order and wondering how long it will last before needing a 3rd seat

Having been dealing with this since Christmas update . Been to the service center 3 times and finally found out it’s normal. Never had this issue for 4 months then a new update and now is a pain. If you cross the lane keep asssit 3 times in a certain time you get the warning.

As a Mercedes Benz Master Technician I can tell you that Mercedes policy is that if you have any impact damage they recommend replacing the whole steering rack. Most cars these days are electric steering and with any impact it can have serious problems that may not show its self right away.
