    Martian Wheels MW03

Will be finally getting my MW03 in 19x9.5" +45 installed this week. I am running oem specs on Model Y LR AWD and mounting the same oem tires. Will be able to give everyone an idea if my Wh/mi improves, worse or same.

What size and color are these? Love to see the installed photos. I just got my Model Y back from the body shop for them to address the delivery issues. So my MW03 are still sitting in the boxes. Hope to get them on soon as I still have the interior delivery issues to address with Tesla.

I think I found the thread. Brand-new wheels out-of-spec? Need input!

I didn't see that thread about the runout. Not sure I understand. What exactly was the issue and do you have a link to the thread video?

bathroom scale is fine. That's what I used. What I did was first weigh myself. Then I weigh myself again carrying some dumbbells with the weight marked so I can measure if the bathroom scale was accurate enough. Finally I weigh myself carrying the wheels and did the math to subtract my own...

Yeah I noticed the website updated last night too. Not sure how close their numbers are to mine but I was using just a bathroom scale so I'm sure there is a bit of tolerance on accuracy +/- .5 to 1 lbs.

Thanks for the link. I couldn't find the same design or equivalent to the Martian Wheels MW03 design but did see some others. Some are not too far off in price vs MW03 but some others were much lower. I guess it is like eBay where some suppliers can be trusted vs some not so much. Btw I have...

do you have a link to the alibaba site. Curious if they have the same split 7 spoke design and what the direct manufacture price difference is. The invoice was confusing but paid about $120’ish for brokerage fees and rest taxes/duty. Total came to around $600 cad so yeah not cheap.

Not sure where manufactured but had some oriental marking so most likely China or Taiwan. The max load rating is 1,000 kg vs 900kg on TST from TSportline. Yeah wish it was lighter but at the end of the day I guess ok with it since fully forged.

Talked to Drew from Martian Wheels. Confirmed the process is fully forged. Just weight is off from their original post.

UPDATE 09-01-2020: Martian Wheels called me back. Confirm there was an error with the weight posted as he said these were new product. Albeit he said they got 22.5lbs instead of my 23 lbs measured. No plans to making another revision when I asked. Unfortunate situation as I told him as I might...

The wheels are 9.5" width and are too wide to place on the scale in any orientation. If I find a large scale I'll give it another go. But I think my previous method of calculating should be fairly accurate. I did tested this with some dumbbells with marked weights and my scale was accurate.

    Martian Wheels MW03

No worries. I didn't take it that way at all. It is just a bit difficult holding a 23lb wheel with my hands and trying to snap a photo at the same time. The wheels don't sit properly by itself on the scale so I can't take a photo that way either.

    Martian Wheels MW03

I didn’t take a photo but how I weighed it was first myself standing on the scale and then myself holding the wheel. I math the difference and came to 23 lbs. Have no reason to make this up. It is actually a hassle for me to deal with this. I have emailed Martian Wheel and awaiting a response.

Did you get the 19x9.5" size? Mine are weighing in at 23 lbs. Site says 19.5 lbs. I"m confused and disappointed. Would you mind sharing the weight on yours so I can compare if mine are an one off occurrence.

    Martian Wheels MW03

Did anyone ordered the Martian Wheels MW03 in 19x9.5" +45 offset for their Model Y? Site specs are 19.5 lbs but I weighed them at 23 lbs. This is 3.5 lbs and much more than I was expecting. So strange and disappointed as I bought them for the weight saving performance.
