Taycan has nicer overall shapes, but just because that was the main focus. Model S has so much more space and sacrificed a nicer silhouette for that. I specifically didn't buy a Taycan because it's not made to be the primary car.

Powdercoating is problematic. It takes a high temperature and quite some time. German TÜV did some tests and it can reduce the strength of rims by 20%. Really depends on the temperature and length of the coating. Additionally removing the paint before coating can reduce the strength even more...

This happens end of every quarter(at least in europe). They always sell the whole inventory of new cars, then list their demo cars. Start of next quarter all cars magically disappear till end of quarter. Every car produced but not sold till end of quarter ruins statistics. I 99% expect a bigger...

But they only produce a few prototypes, so it hardly matters. Even if a semi has a 800 kwh battery, that's just 8 model s.

Price increase in europe is roughly 6000$, they better deliver something good, otherwise I don't expect a lot of sales. Additionally in europe the last 69420 reduction didn't happen, so increase in US might be even higher. In Germany because of the expiration of reduced vat increase is over 8000$.

But how? Pilot production seems to be way too small. Additionally Berlin is still far from finished. Can't imagine tesla stockpiling batteries for long time, not good for quater numbers.

Don't have a link, but there were news about the pilot line being really busy, producing more than a few prototype cars would need. Goals for pilot battery production are 10 gwh, that's enough for s x, but not for y. They need a real production for that.

They got a pilot production line which is working 24/7. Production target would be enough for roughly 100.000 model s x. They only sell around 50.000 per yeah and after the price increase I'd expect less. Who knows? I'm loooking forward to my "old" 2021 model s :)

Most likely facelift wil get same batteries as plaid -> 4680

Yeah, but tesla isn't updating epa range after every little update. They recently updated LR+ g revision and didn't update now, even though it got the new h revision. So depending on how old the last test was the range increase could be a combination of g and h revision and other small...

Depends on when the old range was tested. Might also be a combination of g and h revision upgrades and other tweaks they did when LR+got 402 miles.

Congratulations! Nice to know LR+ get the H battery. Gives me hope they'll get another range increase soon. :)

Congrats! What is your vin? I'm about to buy a new model s. I can either get a showroom car the next days or just wait till November. Vin is 403xxx. Cars need some time to be shipped over to europe, so we get older cars compared to the US. :(
