It's not a safe walk if there are any cars in the South bound lanes. With Wally Mart in that area it almost always has traffic. It's because of the large concrete bridge supports. They come right up to the curb and they've added galvanized barriers to keep cars from hitting the bridge supports...

I just came from Rudy's. The underground utilities are already spotted and marked. It's all flagged on the South (W. Memorial Rd) and the East side (Technology Dr.) of the parking lot.

We were told in a local group that the Rudy's manger hinted at this a few years ago. I'd given up on it. The Rudy's in Norman has Francis Energy chargers and the Rudy's in Sugar Land, TX has 150 kW Tesla chargers. This location is not on the official NEVI plan but it easily could have been. ...

I drive by here all the time. It's better than you think. The Interstate is elevated giving easy walking access to the 24x7 IHOP just south and McD just a bit further. Read, 24x7 restrooms. This location has a ton of resources compared to most of the other OK SC locations.

It's not listed as a Tesla site, just a NEVI charger site. We don't know what hardware Love's is going to put there yet.

I'm only 9 miles away and will definitely be watching.

WOOT! Thanks NEVI. Not a bad location on I-44. It's a little weird to get to from the elevated Interstate due the highway curvature and the exit layout but it's doable with Nav. We'll take it!! Great resources in easy walking distance.

As you said, top off in FS then anytime after that you can plug in do it no matter how short of a time it might be. It all adds up and you never know when an extra 1-2 % might come in handy. Speeds are slow in the park which helps a lot.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I've been watching this location and the OKC West superchargers during the holiday travel. This location has definitely relieved the stress on the OKC west charger based on used and available slots on both. Outstanding!

WOW, that's a big change. I just found this announcement from Sept 17th. They're moving back to the original location @ 3621 NE Kelley. I'd not heard anything about this before searching today. Sorry.

Both L2 and L3's are powered by the same new transformer and meter, so I'd assume so. Have to go by and see if they're lit up. Right now, the SC only appears in the app. It's not made it into the in car SC list just yet. I think it only came up late, late yesterday. The L2@'s are a nice touch...

This is great and is going to help SO many people. The West OKC charger has wait times all during the day now, not just peak times. I think the Tesla rental returns at the airport are killing it. Also having this site open before the big holiday driving crush is great.

Saturday, 10/14/23 We have a TRANSFORMER!!!! But no meter. This location is very, very close to being live.

Concrete pad for transformer has been poured and is still wet as of Saturday morning. They're really moving on this location.

With the construction on I-35 and the frontage roads, it would be very hard to get to right now anyway. It's a real mess.

Monday, 2:55pm app shows 12 of 18 working with only 4a, b, c, d down. I'm not aware of any Tesla Supercharger stations that are not monitored 24x7.

I went with 14-50 since I needed 2 and it did everything I needed, provided flexibility, and was cheaper than the big Tesla wall connector, much less two of them. I routinely see efficiency between 96% to 99.4%. in the stats. Short 1% - 3% charges will often show 100%.

If you can afford it, run, don't stop to a high quality 14-50 plug and breaker. Don't cheap out on parts quality at either end. Again . . . . don't cheap out on these parts. They're going to pull more current for longer non-stop times than anything else in the house. Most electricians have no...

I agree completely. Sidebar, we charged at the Grapevine charger yesterday before going to Pappadeaux. It was TOTALLY empty @ 10am. So was the new one a few blocks West. I almost checked the news feeds to see if the world had come to an end and we missed it. That was a first.

That's exactly what they are. Think employee charging and customers eating Leo's BBQ inside the Homeland. Speed is not needed if you're there working all day and it keeps them working instead of running out to disconnect to avoid fees. Very forward thinking. More businesses need to think this way.

I found a piece from a new housing edition construction waste pile and cut it to length and gave a 45° bevel on one end, not that it needs it. That size lumber is heavy so you don't want it to be too big. Over here, some lumber yards have an odds and ends scrap pile with pieces you can buy.

PS, I carry a torque wrench that fits the 21 mm Craftsman socket, so I effectively don't use the lug wrench that's in the kit.

This is great news. This location is at a brand new Homeland that was built in 2021 to alleviate a USDA declared "food desert" area. It's just North of the state capitol and very reachable from I-44 and I-35. It should help the OKC I-40 charger load. As I've been checking Ardmore's status...
