Gen 1 to Gen 2 Hood Refresh question: Hood Striker help needed.

Hi, sorry for the delay. I bought my hood aftermarket (carbon fiber hood) but I ordered one for 2017 to 2021. I only had to buy a new hood latch (I have the double latch). I bought it from EVFix Me here in Cali. (I think it was around $300)

    Model S Lowering Links-Worth it?

If the previous owner installed aftermarket lowering links then you can remove them and reinstall the factory ones. Or if they turn out to be the adjustable aftermarket lowering links, you can simply adjust them to the higher settings until you achieve the height you're looking for.

Gen 1 to Gen 2 Hood Refresh question: Hood Striker help needed.

Yep, I saw one over the weekend. The hood fit perfectly and it had the refresh headlights as well. It looked just like a newer model so if you can examine one up close, that's exactly how your car will look if you installed a refresh hood and bumper. I have the original hood on mine with the...

$250 plus shipping. Pretty expensive IMO but, it's proven to work. Saw one today at their shop. Looks great.

Gen 1 to Gen 2 Hood Refresh question: Hood Striker help needed.

Wound up buying a custom hood striker from EVFIXME. Once the hood comes in all that needs to done after removing the current hood and installing the new is just installing the new hood striker with the current bolts and making a few alignment adjustments.

Gen 1 to Gen 2 Hood Refresh question: Hood Striker help needed.

Hi. So I finished my front bumper refresh conversion on my 2014 MS P85 to a 2017 MS bumper. Looks great but the overbite between the edge of the hood and bumper has been driving me. I saw a few posts where fellow owners installed a Gen 2 hood to eliminate the overbite. IMO it also completes...

Front bumper update/refresh question - pls help

Thanks. Found him on IG. He said they're not making anymore until next year. 😩 Problem is I'm expecting my Gen 2 carbon fiber hood in the next few weeks and was hoping to have the striker already in hand so I could install it as soon as it's delivered. (No place to store it unfortunately.)...

Model S Refresh bumper for older models!!!!

Hi, has anyone seen anything in the forums addressing "TroyGuy" comments below: I purchased a Gen 2 hood that has the single striker set up that I want to install on my '14 MS which has the double latch set up. I thought I could just install the double striker that currently on my Gen 1 hood...

Front bumper update/refresh question - pls help

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately mine has the double latch so I'll have to figure something out. I recall somewhere in the forum chats that someone made or modified a striker latch to allow the refresh hood with the single striker to work with a double latch MS. The search goes on.

Front bumper update/refresh question - pls help

So when you say new striker are you basically saying that using the striker (single) that's on the refresh hood will work on the older MS that has the double latch without modifications?

    Just received this warranty email

I hear ya and completely understand. Seems like the earlier gens get the short end of the stick. I did receive an email a few days ago from Tesla stating they are doing a recall. It's a long email but I copied it below. Tesla has decided to voluntarily recall certain Model S and Model X...

    Just received this warranty email

Sorry for the delay. Yep I have the same update but so far I haven't noticed anything different. I'll have to ask about the reflash. I honestly never heard about that.

    Just received this warranty email

I hope there is a little flexibility. I'm at 93K on my 2014. I've had some inconsistencies at the Burbank SC. They changed management about a year ago and it's been very difficult to get anything done that I feel is going above and beyond for the customer. Lately I've been taking videos of...

Model S - Suspension Clicking Noise

So I have a 2014 MS and I'm hearing a clicking noise when I turn my steering wheel left and right. It's only happening when I'm backing up or going forward at very low speeds. Anybody else having this problem?

    Model S Lowering Links-Worth it?

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Has anybody with the factory adjustable suspension tried lowering links? Looks like an inexpensive way to lower the car by an inch or so without going through major steps. I saw this guy post this.
