Has anyone tried to plug in a ingenext module to a different vin car? Does it truly not work?

I just updated the module before installing the update to test if updates still worked since It was unknown. Tesla doesn't know you have the module so you'll still get updates. 2023.44.30.14 works fine for me on updated firmware of module.

You're already pushing your warranty having one of these modules.

My X was built December 21 too. Has same connector. It's annoying how expensive the media converter is. Not sure it's worth the money. 2 Model X matrix lights new on eBay are $1k

Just don't update your car. Tesla has never force installed an update on anyone. You always have to start it yourself.

I've been told by my Tesla contact that you need the 1000.

The media converter for refresh s/x built before 02/2022 is 500+ just to do config change

I agree but check my post above. Updates still work.

After update config change is still in place and headlights function as normal.

Update successfully installed with new updated module. I assume that the removal of the allow updates toggle just makes it so that it never prevents updates. Wish they were more clear about this.

Actually someone did it on older refresh S and used a wiring harness adapter. Probably will work with this.

Yes but even then the new connector only has 4 wires compared to the old one having 6. I know someone who could change the config for you remotely but I still think it's not possible due to the connector.

They just sent out new email with fixed links. The link works.

Still no link fix or email update response. I’ve been disappointed with ingenext’s customer support response and lack of updates over the years. People like S3XY buttons have been matching there features and other features and do updates regularly. At a cheaper price for their commander too.

Very tricky but you have to keep trying. Removing the glove box helped me a lot.

Nope. The most recent part number for Model X without matrix lights has old connector. They must’ve put in a new front wiring harness in for these lights.

I got the email to update my module but the dropbox link doesn't work. Replied to the email for link and about removing the allow updates toggle, haven't received a reply.

This is on my iPad which I have a model 3 and it lets me control everything without having phone key set up

Went to pick up my new Y perf and the mobile app won’t show the controls or safety and security sections in the app you used to be able to use the controls without phone key. Anyone know a fix?

The mobile connector does get updates. The first time I plugged it into my car it said on the dash “Updating mobile connector firmware.” I guess it does it through the car which is very cool.

No because the ingenext module does not have internet connectivity it won’t let you connect

For people that have taken their vehicle into a service center and left the module in, has anyone ever said anything or removed warranty from the car

Maybe but it’s still not an easy task. I had to take out the glovebox to get my module installed.

Anyone know why they don’t make a bypass module for Intel atom? Would be nice to have just incase.
