I ordered my Tesla MY October 6th. My first VIN was assigned 11/15 but had to delay it, my second VIN 11/25 and just got a new VIN assigned 12/8 Pick up location- Marina del Rey I delayed delivery due to the clean vehicle grant.

Mine stated the same and late last night I was assigned a VIN 89XXX. They don’t call you or send you an email, it will randomly just show up.

Just let your advisor know.

I was just assigned a VIN for pick up in Marina del Rey. I was assigned a VIN 2 weeks ago but had to delay delivery, that VIN started at 80xxx Today, the new VIN starts at 79xxx. is it normal that they went backwards on the VIN??

Congratulations! i wonder when was your original final review date. my application went in for final review November 15 and I am still waiting. i called again (I am becoming very impatient lol) and I was told that I should be getting the approval any day now but at this point who knows.

I was placed on final approval on November 15 and was told 2-3 weeks yesterday. They keep changing their timeframe.

I was assigned my first VIN November 15 and then again November 25. Only 10 days apart. I had to release both VINs due to the grant approval.

You will be fine! They will release the VIN but they will assign you another VIN later.

Thank you so much for the info! I know I will eventually master the Tesla’s way of driving but coming from a gas car, I would love the option to slowly transition! Love that tesla gave us this option!

I wouldn’t wait until the very last minute. Get the car a few weeks before the grant expires, that gives you enough time incase tesla submits docs late or what not.

you can always postpone delivery if you are not ready, just let your SA know when you are ready to take delivery, they’re very flexible ☺️

yeah, you might be right. My last name starts with an A so I am the first if they are going in alphabetical order.

I called CVAP and they said my application is under final review as of 11/15 and it takes about 2 weeks from that date to receive final approval. So what I would do is call CVAP and ask if your application is under final review and ask for the date. They should be able to tell you.
