    What tires are you running?

Continental DWS06+ Been through several pairs now. They have excellent traction in the dry and wet. (Even with a bit of snow, but they don’t seem to handle slush very well). The other huge plus is they’re very inexpensive. The tread pattern looks pretty rad as well. Downsides are they’re...

18” photon (highland) wheels on M3P??

Does anyone know if the 18” Photon wheels will clear the Model 3 Performance (PUP/red Caliper) brakes? I have 18’s that I’ve been using for winter but I’d like to snag another set of 18’s for the other 3 seasons. I think the photons look pretty decent, and it’s nice not to have centering rings...

Is my beloved 2018 LR Model 3 turning into a maintenance $$$$ nightmare?

That’s impressive. You must baby the accelerator pedal. I had a model S for 6 if I kept it much longer I bet my door handle repairs might have totaled that. 🤣 j/k

Is my beloved 2018 LR Model 3 turning into a maintenance $$$$ nightmare?

The 12V wasn’t cheap in my case. I decided to get an aftermarket lithium battery. 🤣. Saved 17lbs though, and my hope is that it might last longer. 🤪

Is my beloved 2018 LR Model 3 turning into a maintenance $$$$ nightmare?

Gotta say, I’m slightly concerned about this as well. I’m just shy of 150,000km on my 2018 Model 3 performance. In the last 6 months, I’ve had to deal with several issues. - Had a restraint error and had to replace the center seat buckle in the rear seat. Drivers seat occupancy sensor became...

Vendor Antigravity Group 51R LiFePO4 Lithium battery for Tesla Model 3/Model Y

Not that it makes that much of a difference but a 2018 M3P is 4086lbs... 😝. I’ll take the weight savings on a car wherever I can get it.

Vendor Antigravity Group 51R LiFePO4 Lithium battery for Tesla Model 3/Model Y

Sorry for the confusion. My original lead acid (49 months old) thew some errors this morning and required replacement. I replaced it with the 30Ah Antigravity.

Vendor Antigravity Group 51R LiFePO4 Lithium battery for Tesla Model 3/Model Y

I installed the 30Ah version today. No more 12V errors. 😀 I wrapped mine in a thin blanket of insulation foam, to help keep it warm in cold weather since I heard that Tesla’s were complaining in cold weather with the lithium battery Mountain Pass Performance sells. It’s 17.6lbs lighter...

Vendor Antigravity Group 51R LiFePO4 Lithium battery for Tesla Model 3/Model Y

Is the ATG-51R (on the European auto source website) the same battery at the AG-51R? I can only find the AG-51R on antigravity and other resellers websites… I assume the 24Ah version is fine for a model3? Thanks!

    Prices just Dropped

I bought a inventory 2018 Model 3 Performance (brand new with only 50km on it) as I was looking for the best deal and didn't want to wait 3 weeks for a new one. It was from a local dealer who got it direct from Tesla the same day. This was on July 8th. 8 days later, I could have bought a M3P...

How long will the brakes last on a Tesla as compared to a similar ice car ?

Salt and a lack of use... My last minivan (Sienna) had the brakes last longer.

How long will the brakes last on a Tesla as compared to a similar ice car ?

Another data point so you all won't be disappointed in ~5 years... I took my Model S for a provincial safety inspection as I have it up for sale. They say front and rear pads and rotors need replacing. :(. Costs about $2000 CAD. I have 116,000km on the car and it's a hair over 6 years old...

    Fuse Box 1 access

I'm looking for instructions on how to access Fuse Box 1 on a pre facelift Model S (2013 P85 FWIW) It's buried in the frunk and I'm not sure what to remove or how to remove it to get access. Specifically I'm looking to remove the fuse for the yaw sensor (F12) so I can disable stability...

    Odometer reset to zero twice

    very errant trip meters

I only noticed this yesterday for the first time. I saw the 2 numbers diverge as much as 4km while I was driving. Then one number would sit still for several minutes while the other one caught up. Very strange indeed.

    2013 Model S P85 - Ontario Canada - No Longer Available

Am I crazy? Considering ditching my Model S for the Ford Focus RS

Very interesting. I'm used to reading posts on here like "I sold my 911 because I was never driving it anymore". I don't commute to work and don't anticipate doing it in the future, I also don't make a lot of long distance trips either which eliminates both of your main Tesla use cases...

Am I crazy? Considering ditching my Model S for the Ford Focus RS

I saw it at the auto show last year. Beautiful vehicle. If I didn't have 5 kiddos (and need the 3rd row up at all times) it would be a great family vehicle. 15 cu ft behind the 3rd row is less than 50% of the cargo space of any minivan... Not practical for us.

Am I crazy? Considering ditching my Model S for the Ford Focus RS

I have the rear facing seats :) I got them installed last summer. I have a 9 year old Toyota Sienna for when we all need to go somewhere. I don't think I need to own 2 vehicles that seat 7, but maybe I'm mistaken... - - - Updated - - - I've had my Model S to open lapping half a dozen...

Thanks for the useful feedback. If you remember where you read that the RS has less personality than the ST/isn't as fun to drive please point me to it. I hadn't seen anything like that yet. I think the only thing I'd really miss from the Tesla is the instant torque, and perhaps I'd loathe...

First a quick disclaimer: Please only post on the thread if you know what a Ford Focus RS is. :) No one liners please like "It burns gas, eww!" Here goes... I'm very strongly considering snagging an open allocation this week for a Ford Focus RS. My current car is a 2013 Model S P85...

    Eastern Canada Superchargers

I did hit Woodstock in both directions! The distance is only 150km from Woodstock to Chatham, but evtriplanner said to expect a 224km rated drop, for 5% above speed and -9C. Driving those 300km in the summer is a piece of cake, but in the winter especially after letting the car cold soak for...

Haven't canceled yet but I may after getting a chance to see one at a local store. I can't justify having an X and an S, and I don't think I want to give up my S (plus ~50 grand) to have an X. That and I think our minivan is likely a more practical vehicle at this point. Passenger and cargo...

    Firmware 7.0 - For Classic Model S

If you could choose any other SUV.....

I think a Mercedes Sprinter with 200+ miles of electric range and access to super chargers would be perfect for me. Heck I'd even settle for a PHEV Sprinter with ~50 miles range.

Very Difficult decision..Canceling my Sig X reservation

Why do keep people calling the X a minivan or a minivan competitor? Minivans have more cargo space than 90% SUV's/CUV's, you have plenty of flexibility with folding seats for cargo or removing them entirely also. You can *gasp* have a roof rack on a minivan as well. By this logic a minivan...

    Model X vs Volvo XC90

No, that's one reason why I'm still considering Model X. It is helpful to have a larger single storage area however, (ie. for a double stroller)

    Model X vs Volvo XC90

I followed the XC90 really closely before it was unveiled. Then I saw the pitiful 10 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row. It definitely won't work for our family of 7. Although I'm not sure the Model X is big enough either. (When is Tesla going to actually release the specs???) I...

Very Difficult decision..Canceling my Sig X reservation

This is pretty off topic, but the V class is the luxury version of the Vito which is a mid size van. It comes to North America this month and is called the Metris. The Sprinter is a full size van and is much larger. :)

For those of you buying sigs a "plus" model might be coming later...

Staggered means wider tires in the rear than the front. Although from what I've rear all X's have slightly wider (10mm) tires in the back.
