3k is cheap compared to the Porsche that I really wanted…. And this bumper definitely helped curb my Porsche envy. And don’t let that face fool you; the kids were fighting over who got to ride home with me (only room for one with the old bumper in back)…. the loser had to ride in dad’s Jag 🤪

I have a hard time getting mine off. Tugging through the hole won’t budge it. I have to bend the plastic at the side and reach through to push down the metal pins to remove it. Am I weak or am I doing something very wrong?

Get the white. It’s more comfortable and cleanliness hasn’t been an issue

I got the one from RPMtesla which fits just fine in my seven seater. You just have to remove the roller mechanism if you want to sit anybody in the back row. Since the third row is only rarely used, it’s not much of an issue

Replying to bump this comment. Has anybody with the update on a radar equipped Y tried autopilot with tape over the camera? The camera gives me the creeps, even if Tesla promises the data isn’t transmitted.

My concern is: will autopilot still work if the cabin camera is covered? I have a sticker over my camera because it gives me the creeps, and am hesitant to update to the new software version because I don’t want to have to choose between autopilot and privacy (and yes, I know they claim that...

Try a bubble bum? That fits anywhere. I ordered one for the occasions where we’ll have to use the third row; I have a five point harness booster in the second row for daily use.

Mystery solved. Apparently the guy at delivery wrote my account number off the check incorrectly. They called me today for the correct info.

I’m just hoping they make a version to class up the ugly new console. Based on the information in this thread though, it sounds like I shouldn’t hold my breath.

I like the old better because it looks sleeker, closes off the phone compartment, and has more room. The new one looks cheap and generic. There are a ton of options for customizing the old one (which can totally change the look of the car and really class it up), I haven’t seen anything...

Have you called the service center? You ordered two years ago! This is ridiculous!

My purchase order still shows the lower price, so my guess is they’ll honor it. I saved the document. Guess we’ll find out in two weeks when I take delivery lol

I usually see 1-3 per day in suburban western PA.

I’m also in western PA, looks like order-to-delivery time for me will be nine weeks, but there’s a good chance you’ll get it by the end of March because of the end of quarter push and the fact that they’ve really ramped up production in the last couple weeks.

Sweet lord, I actually got a vin! 130XXX. Ordered in October, switched to 7-seater 1/18, blue/white/Gemini/tow/no FSD in PA. :D

I’m planning on keeping my Subaru for a while “just in case “. I’ve already resigned myself to driving it to work once every other week so it doesn’t break down from disuse. We’ll see how things actually work out once I get the Y.

Mid January order in Pennsylvania without a vin here. S.A. updated me again... For the fourth week in a row, my expected delivery date is pushed back another week. This is so frustrating. I truly feel like it's a lottery. It's impossible to get a straight answer from tesla. All the five seater people seem to be matching instantly. Maybe Fremont needs to switch to seven sweater and performance production exclusively until they get caught up.

I think I lost more than a day. I uploaded my insurance stuff, and a couple days later, the S.A. mentioned that they still needed it. I ended up emailing it to him. It's also misleading, because I got the impression from the website that in my state (PA) you needed a vin first, which obviously...

I'm dying to know the logistics of who receives their vins first. Date of order doesn't seem to be a strong predictor.

According to the spreadsheet, somebody with the same configuration as me who is financing (I’m paying cash) already has a vin, even though his order was later, so I don’t think it matters.

Sigh... Guess we just need to accept that we’ll be pumping gas in the cold for another month
