I have a Legacy 2017 Model S 90D. It needed lots of upgrades (MCU, computer, cameras, all of it, that I got installed years ago). I just got V12 a few days ago with the Legacy rollout.

1. I could be wrong on this but others can chime in. I think I have it right though. Instead of people writing code to tell the car how to drive itself, Tesla used on-board camera footage from the entire fleet to train a (either a.i. or neural network - I forget which) how to drive. With V12...

Same amount of nags for me. But its fine. Personally I'd rather have nags than a nanny cam. On a side note, V12 handles rural/small town Ohio significantly better than V11. I'm a very happy camper right now.

Gotcha. Maybe I was thinking sunroof's then. I know none of the Raven's have my beloved sunroof.

Dont 2020's have cabin cameras though? Everything seems to be hinging on these effing cabin cameras.

We bought it and we have it. It's just capped at the far more dangerous v11.

It seems strange that they would keep non cabin camera cars on the unsafer versions of fsd. I hope this is all hearsay...

They added trash cans with windshield washers/fluid and paper towels (and hand sanitizer and gloves for some reason). Nice touch and not something Ive seen at the 20 or so Superchargers I have visited.

Sorry I worded that wrong. Example of something they removed on newer models that I have on mine and WANT to keep is a sunroof. Example of something they added to newer models that I do NOT EVER WANT is the cabin camera.

Warranty is up in about 18 months and need to start planning for that to become a possibility. I love my car so much and the new ones removed (or added) features that I consider critical.

Brent (or anyone from Xcare)... Is there ANY hope of my 2017 Model S (with 125K miles) getting battery coverage in the future? My manufacturer battery warranty expires Aug 2025 and I want to keep this car for longer than that, but I simply cannot go without an unwarranted battery. Please tell me...

Assuming I used all the equipment that came with the NVX kit and swapped out only the sub, would something like the JL Audio 10W3v3-4 be a huge upgrade over the NVX or just marginal? Secondly, is there any way to add a second one in the other subby on the passenger side?

I think you're in the minority here. X-Care has paid out quite a few claims for my lemon. I think the blame here lies solely on your service center for not filling out a basic piece of information on the invoice that is normally included (and is on all of mine). I would imagine X-Care needs this...

I do believe that's correct. Tesla would not charge the diagnostic fee if you had the Tesla extended warranty. I love my Tesla but my God has it been a lemon for me. I personally would recommend using Tesla's own extended warranty, then get X-Care the moment it expires. X-Care has probably saved...

Just thought I would post about this... Some service centers (Cleveland) have started charging an additional hour of diagnosis once you tell them you have X-Care. Their logic is the extra detail that X-Care needs before approving claims creates more work for them. And unless someone could chime...

I already did that months ago. They canceled it and said its a software issue and that a fix would eventually be released.

Good point. This is definitely a safety issue. Shameful they haven't pioritized it though.

New FSD update that installed last night still did not fix the wiper issue. This is now TWO updates that they could have pushed a fix out with but chose not to. I dont know guys, Im starting to worry they have no intention of fixing it. Our cars are just too old for them to bother with.

Wondering if anyone has successfully gotten a claim paid when using Mobile Service? This seems to be the only real problem with X-Care and I wish they could come up with a better solution. I have mobile service coming out to make $700 in repairs that should be covered under X-Care. The problem...

Has anyone here had any experience with X-Care and a mobile tech visit? Every time a mobile tech has been out (which was pre X-care for me), they just come out and fix it on the spot and immediately charge me. I dont know how I would get the service pre-approved with X-care in this situation.

Pretty much all my ultrasonic sensors look this bad. Any tips on making these look better? Is it ok to paint over them?

A lot of us do. Mine has paid for itself probably almost two times over by now.

We have 9,000 miles to go on our Basic Vehicle Warranty, then another 10,000 miles on the Used Vehicle Warranty. Would this kick in after the used vehicle warranty? Anyone know?
