Just wanted to follow up in this forum and confirm that I picked up car yesterday in a rare rainy day here in SoCal. Red/white ordered on 11/8 in San Diego. Really excited I made the year end cut off, but I feel for the folks who have to wait a bit longer. It will be worth it in the end :)

I’m sure they will get it working eventually, just as the PS4 controller works now.

To be fair, the SR+ wasn’t really designed for road trips. It’s entry level as a commuter or around town car. Yes road trips are possible, but the slower charging speed and less range will limit your options substantially. Probably better off renting another car if it’s an infrequent occurrence.

Just received a call from Tesla and they are moving up my delivery by a day, since apparently the car arrived early. I take delivery tomorrow now!! Excited!!!!

Oh, and can we see more photos? :). What was your last 6 of VIN? 875xxx???

i guess their system has some tentative build date. Anyway, turns out I received a VIN overnight and scheduled delivery with my SA for the 29th. Hopefully it won’t slip further, but at least there are a few days of buffer before month end.

Confused as to why you’d both cancel when you already have a VIN. Just talk to an SA and they can probably schedule your delivery window right now.

I’m now officially scheduled for pickup at Carlsbad on the 29th. Interested to hear about others pickup experiences in this hectic time at the end of the year.

Dec 25th through 31st. I knew it would be the later part of that window being in SoCal though.

Yay! VIN finally received on my red/white combo. 875xxx :). No delivery date scheduled yet, but I imagine that is coming soon.

Will be hard being patient for several more days. Annoying to see people who ordered way after me receiving their cars earlier. I guess it’s all about location though, and those of us in SoCal will have to be patient :)

I couldn’t agree more and would reject delivery too. Who knows what else happened if the driver was careless enough to hit your car in a branch. Where are you located?

Similar issues in SoCal. My car was supposed to be built on 12/26 and pickup on 12/28. Now I’m hearing it will be built on the 29th, so probably delivery right at the end of the month. Not thrilled with the delay, though it seems par for the course with Tesla.

Yeah, who knows! Honestly don’t think I can trust anything the SA says at this point. Originally they said 24th, then 26th, and now 29th. I’m confident I’ll receive the car by the 31st though, given their sales goals. Primarily concerned about the quality and if there are issues, I may just...

Latest update from SA said my car isn’t being built until Dec 29th now. Cutting it pretty damn close for delivery in Carlsbad before year-end. At least I can forget about checking my account constantly for another 5 days!!!

Dang, where are you located? That is my exact order and I’m still waiting after I ordered in early November. Supposed to pickup at the Carlsbad location.

Yeah, that’s just insane. If it were me, I would cancel my order at this point and wait for a new VIN in March.

I don’t have the weight measurements, but I can tell you those on the performance model are definitely larger. Additionally, as a result, there is a significant braking power and cooling improvement. I think the stopping distance improvement was something like 20ft improvement from 60 -> 0...

Same here. I’m like thanks for giving me false hope my car was ready. I talked to my SA today and he said my car should be built on the 26th with pickup on the 28th.

Anyone here taking delivery out of Carlsbad CA? Figured it was a slim chance, but worth asking if anyone might be picking up at a similar time in the next 10 days.

That is my exact configuration too, minus FSD. Is it a demo car? If not, then usually those vehicles are already earmarked for an existing order.

My delivery window had just reappeared yesterday, only to disappear again today. Hopefully it’s just system issues and nothing else. I ordered in early Nov, so I’m going to be pretty frustrated if somehow this is pushed into Jan and I miss the supercharging offer.

New headlights for sure! Congrats! I would assume the new 82kwh battery pack, as well.

Very interesting! Hopefully all these new builds have the 82kwh pack. Will be intriguing to see what people find as they take delivery over the next two weeks.

Maybe all of our patience here in Cali will pay off and we’ll all end up getting the new headlights as a present from Elon with our M3P’s. One can dream :)

Sorry, my earlier message wasn’t meant to be snarky. Anyway, yes, i think your SA must have meant availability for Canada. Like others said, there is no way they could ship them on schedule to hit their Q4 delivery window.

You just created an account to tell us this? Seems very odd. Where are you located? I would be very skeptical that Tesla isn’t making more performance models this year. If so, they are certainly going to lose a lot of customers.
