Funny enough, I love craps as well.....So when there is a dip during the week, I like selling OTM puts for just there time value, and just wait a few days for a profit . Or if there is a pop and I think TSLA is over-extended, I'll sell OTM covered call. Its not bullet proof, but good for short...

I have done this strategy before, sometimes you get burned because of TSLA starts a major run....As for tomorrow, we are up 3% and the rest of the market even momo stocks are up slightly, so I think we pull back. Not so sure that I would place $ for a day trade.

The stock and the NASDAQ have had no direction except for an erratic see-saw the past few months, and its so frustrating, I think post earnings we will be at 160 or 230, depending on what TM annouces. Until then its chaos.

I think what we see here are trades that happened earlier in the day and for some reason hit the ticker late. I don't think they are actual trades that happen at that price after hrs.

Agreed, I forget who it was that pre-announced last time at the auto show, but it wasn't Elon, this would be a big deal if he pre-announces. Timing is a little off as well, he would be pre-announcing two weeks from earnings release.

This is what worries me...Has TM made any progress in the GF since they announced it? If all they report is that they are still working on it...I expect sell off. I don't know if 1 quarter was enough time for Tesla to pick a location and work out details with a partner, which would be the first...

I agree, on the face of it, it seems like the announcement was premature. Why tell the world about such an audacious plan without a clearer path to roll it out? The fact that it came on the heels of the earnings report is suspect. IMO TM should have waited till they had some more concrete plans...

I have a boat load of shares....and don't mind selling covered calls for some protection, but I haven't because it seems like everyday I am expecting some massive news from TM which will squeeze the shorts and unlead the coil...GF partner/MX ready/etc.

Rick Perry news was out yesterday....whats interesting to me is the report of Elon's trip to China "by end of March"....that only leaves a few trading days. Tsla is trading on momentum. Momentum comes/goes with news. Upgrades, Elon Tweets, earnings reports...... it will fly...Downgrades, car fires, etc, it slides down. Days like today, which have been occuring a lot recently, we are mostly flat.
