Refresh Model X HVAC Noise in cold

My Redresh X makes vibration/buzzing sound when HVAC is on in cold weather. I figure it is the heat pump but it can’t be “normal” it’s pretty obtrusive. Wondering if I am the only one. Thx….

I too he been waiting for .36.1 or 2 and nothing … I even have the car at a service center fixing something else and they swear they can’t install 36.x bc they don’t have it … soooo frustrating!

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

I’m glad it’s fixed but I will absolutely never purchase another Tesla again. Between the crap build quality and the crap software there are too many great options to put up with Tesla CRAP

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

I don’t get it — how do you use a stethoscope to determine where the noise is coming from?

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

I should add that My Tesla service center has acknowledged the issue in writing and indicated in writing that it will be fixed in a forthcoming release.

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

It sounds like there is a range of buzz volumes. My car is intolerable and I even hear it when I drive at low speeds if the radio is off.

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

Yes schedule an appointment and complain — that more people that do so the better the chance Tesla addresses sooner… imho

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

I don't think that makes any sense as the latest is already 28.2. The 26.X version came out in late august.

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

I agree — I totally distrust Tesla. They always act in their interests rather than the customers. This could wear out parts, degrade mileage, pose safety issues and they would do nothing

Weird buzzing sound after updating to 2022.24.6 [Fixed in 2022.36.1]

What if Tesla never fixes this issue and says it’s normal operation for these particular cars?

Omg — “normal operarion”. I hate Tesla

So at this point do we believe this affects all refresh MS/X? In my case I am a MX.

    2022.24.8

Thanks! I decided to avoid the pain of going to the service center for something I don’t believe they can fix and rather wait for a software release fixing it. Bit of they are able to fox for you PLEASE do let us know! Ty!

Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

The day won’t be long in coming when Tesla will be very happy to sell any car they can given the flood of completion over the next few years and the horrible Tesla customer service and questionable corporate culture.

Best interior color for Model X?

I went for cream over white bc it’s so light it reads like an off white and the white is very stark I thought I wouldn’t like it

    Version 2022.16.x

The second one is pretty cool if it’s reasonably accurate. The first one I frankly don’t understand. Does it “apply to me” if I am the only one who ever drives my car. Why can’t they just enable the freakin horn that Elon promised existed on the refreshed X and S? Maybe bc he was wrong and...

Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

Ok got it .. so if I approach from behind and there is nothing to the side of the car it should open all the way in one motion vs perhaps if I approach from the front close to the car it may just pop open a few inches at first … I’ll have to try that out … Ty!

Refreshed 2021/2022 Model X Owners Thread

I had a 2019 MX loaner for 10 days when my refresh computer got changed and I didn’t like going back to the wheel mainly bc it blocked my view but also bc as another post pointed out, I find the yoke so easy to turn using the upper/outer leverage points. There are some alleged moments when I...

Refreshed Tesla Model X issues: frozen camera, brake fault, high voltage system fault, etc.

Yea that was my part number too — also haven’t tried to supercharge — haven’t even got my cameras to recalibrate… lol … I’m still on the .2 software so it would be interesting if I did try supercharging before I get the update

Power Frunk Group Buy - MS Refresh LR/Plaid

I have the EVOffer frunk in my 2022 Model X. Installation was pretty easy though I was a very earlier adopter for the refreshed X. We had a few kinks to work out over a month's time, mainly in the form of firmware updates. Now that these have been ironed out, it is working beautifully.

Refreshed Tesla Model X issues: frozen camera, brake fault, high voltage system fault, etc.

I finally got my car back today with a new computer -- took 9 days to accomplish. They say they are confident it will clear all the problems (which for me were only around supercharging). I won't find out until Memorial Day weekend when I have to drive 330 miles X2.
