this process is finicky. Once the car saves the programming you have to press the program button on your opener and trigger the door with the car to make it save your car as a accepted code. I had to do it twice before it took for mine.

Personally I’m just basing it off experience. I currently drive a Model Y Performance which is only rated for 303 miles, and honestly it’s doing me fine. I typically bypass 2 or more superchargers before I have to stop. So when I chose to go plaid at 311 miles I figured it would work about the same.
