Tesla (or any other leasing company for that matter) will make you register the car in your name. Leasing companies don't let leasees transfer ownership to third parties. The alternative would be a lease assumption, where the third party takes over your lease.

@mxnym, you have a great point! I totally forgot about the car part of the cell signal!! LOL! With that said, I've been in a couple of situations where I have no cell service on my phone (T-Mobile) and the car has service (sometimes even three and four bars). I think my idea is totally worth a try.

Option 3: Go to a place in the building with cell service. Unlock the car and touch the Keys icon on the app. You have two minutes to get back to the car and start driving. 😁

@Scottharr27, I'm surprised to hear that. One of the things people have noticed is how much better I sound from the car. They used to complain how bad I sounded in the Range Rover I had before. Now they tell me they can barely notice I'm in the car! I have a 2017 MX 90D.
