  1. Q

Does Tesla provide ICBC insurance in house?

I suspect that they're referring to your trade-in with regards to your insurance. Regardless, they'll have an agent there to handle the paperwork. I think some of the communication is too generic for north america.
  2. Q

I did the impossible yesterday. I locked myself out of my Plaid!

Radio Frequency Identification. If you ever tapped your CC, that's utilizes RFID.
  3. Q

Canadian Superchargers now charge per kWh

Thanks UCP! Shockingly they suppressed the rate increased until after the election. They've also paused renewal energy projects to ensure they're environmentally safe. Drill baby drill!
  4. Q

I did the impossible yesterday. I locked myself out of my Plaid!

It closed on you or just locked?
  5. Q

Ugh! I thought I’d never do this! Underbody damage.

I did the same thing from Edson to Jasper two years ago. Ran over a shredded tire. Was just the skid plate as well. I will say your car's range is drastically degraded when you're dragging it 100 km/h 😆
  6. Q

    Ontario - Flo chargers

Most FLO chargers are level 2.
  7. Q

    CCS adapter availability

I bought it via the website, doesn't seem like it's on the app. I can't buy a second one though - I guess they capped it to 1?
  8. Q

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Check your car - Software->Additional Information. I have not heard anyone whose info wasn't accurate.
  9. Q

Official Tesla CCS1 adaptor now available in Canada.

Interestingly enough, A2Z's knock off cut their price today as well.
  10. Q

Driving to BC & Alberta, what network cards are needed for Chademo?

https://www.tesla.com/en_CA/trips Not sure what you're looking at. For Chademo, use Plug Share and make sure you adjust the filter to find Chademo ststions
  11. Q

    Ottawa to Victoria in a M3 SR+

You sure you put the right filter on? Shows up fine for me.
  12. Q

    Touch up paint

Have you phoned your local service centre?
  13. Q

    CCS Adapter 1537264-00-B

Your vehicles' status page will tell you if it's enabled or not (additional vehicle information)
  14. Q

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

5YJ3E1E should be all Model 3s in Canada.
  15. Q

Differences between US vs Canadian Model 3

Some geo locked features as well. No show stoppers though
  16. Q

    Cross-Canada Public Charging Networks

My FLO account works with ChargePoint and BCHydro. And of course there's always the supercharger network.
  17. Q

    charge stats not tracking

You haven't really told us what it should be.
  18. Q

Drivers seat found fully reclined this morning

So your seat was completely reclined shortly after you gave access to your car to your teenager and your first thought was to blame the car? My question would be simply, "Why did you recline the driver side vs the passenger side?"
  19. Q

Damaged rear bumper and tail light badly and need a Tesla authorized body shop in Kelowna BC? ICBC approved.

Any shop will end up ordering OEM parts - fortunately Tesla's bumpers aren't any different than any other manufacturer.
  20. Q

sentry live mode not available in Canada

I have an 8 and have the same issue but I've found you don't have to hit the dot, just above it is fine.
  21. Q

    power share

I think the wiring is the same, the two units talk to each other via WiFi so as not to pop the breaker
  22. Q

sentry live mode not available in Canada

I suspect it was the "recall" that had to be pushed out.
  23. Q

sentry live mode not available in Canada

Basically. There's no way to force it - best not to worry about it.
  24. Q

    2021 M3 SR+ heated steering wheel available

If the option is the cold weather package worth 400, your car has the hardware for the heating steering wheel. I too don't care about the seats but meh.
  25. Q

    2021 M3 SR+ heated steering wheel available

I'd buy some hand warmers and then make some custom instructions on how to use them...
  26. Q

    2021.40.6 - live sentry mode

Wire tap laws in Canada are one party consent - there's no legal reason not to allow the live streaming aside from the data usage would be more expensive. I mean Tesla doesn't even allow you download the software over cell data even if you have premium connectivity.
  27. Q

    CCS versus CHAdeMO in Canada

Isn't the issue with the not getting full power because the SETEC adapter is actually mimicking the Chademo protocol that was limited to 50 kW?
  28. Q

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

I suspect the steering wheel equipment will be standard, but just like the seats, it will be an optional upgrade you have to pay to turn on.
  29. Q

Are we like the red-headed step kids with regards to getting software updates?

Thanks for the info. The update on my car eventually stopped spinning - not sure what stopped it though.
  30. Q

Are we like the red-headed step kids with regards to getting software updates?

Anyone else find that older updates don't get applied? Is it just Canada? I was on an older update for weeks and I just installed 2021.40. But 2021.36.8 was the update that pushed live sentry mode.
  31. Q

    Hold making a noise

Try the other modes to compare the differences.
  32. Q

Tesla switching SR models to LFP batteries

Keep in mind the SR doesn't have battery warmers like the X and S. When you pre condition in the 3 it just makes the entire motor inefficient to create wasted heat.
  33. Q

Looks like LFP SR+ models have arrived in Canada

    We live in igloos. Dur.
  34. Q

    Spotify channel favorites?

Works fine if you set all of this on your Spotify account NOT in the car.
  35. Q

    What's your rated range again?

If that's true, you'll get a new battery once it drops to <70%. My buddy's 90D did the same thing but he did say that it eventually did stop sliding at that rate.
  36. Q

Thinking of a new SR+ Questions

I'm curious that why you're charging up to 100% all the time - not recommended unless you're heading out immediately for a long trip. However, the computer probably needs to relearn your range. The easiest way would be drain to almost 0 and then charge to 80 percent a few times. The heat pump...
  37. Q

    TESLA Collision service and ICBC

Nope. If it's just a dent, the regular shops are just fine. It will most likely take longer due to the part not being abundant.
  38. Q

No tax savings on trade in?

Yep - SA took care of it.
  39. Q

No tax savings on trade in?

I suspect they fix it if you say something but don't bother to fix the system that does this in the first place.
  40. Q

British Columbia Residents Referral Code Petition

Well this is all moot point now since Tesla stopped the program aside from powerwalls
  41. Q

No tax savings on trade in?

I had to get them to fix my taxes before I picked it up. But your location is too vague to be specific on what's going on. In BC, the tax rate is dependent on the net value of the purchase price.
  42. Q

British Columbia Residents Referral Code Petition

I remember my SA showing his own tesla app with his loot and he had some in there. I just assumed that my buddy wasn't eligible for the phantom ware Roadster draw. His other referral got his kms too.
  43. Q

British Columbia Residents Referral Code Petition

Are you guys referring to the 1500 kms or the other benefits? Because I'm pretty sure the 1500 kms aren't restricted to BC.
  44. Q

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

SR+ don't. You'll need to buy centre armrest trays as well.
  45. Q

Canadian Model 3 delivery estimates for new orders are already into June.

BC gets delivery at the end of each quarter for the most part. Yes there are outliers, but don't fret if your date changes.
  46. Q

    Importing from Europe to Canada

How can Tesla prevent a private citizen from importing their car from Europe?
  47. Q

Anyone has the LFP SR+ in Canada yet?

Just keep in mind the depending on where you charge up at home (ie a garage), you won't need to worry about the cold as much as you would on the drive home.
  48. Q

Anyone has the LFP SR+ in Canada yet?

You need to be realistic about what your daily routine is. If you're driving 100 km a day but can charge every day, you're fine, even with degraded battery in the winter. You will get over range anxiety eventually. I strongly suspect the range difference between the two batteries aren't...
  49. Q

Anyone has the LFP SR+ in Canada yet?

Supply chains for common items are having issues, it should not be hard to understand that raw materials for batteries, especially when the big 3 are getting into the EV game, are getting longer and longer.
  50. Q

Canada Model S Plaid and LR orders and deliveries!

Telsa will happily sell your car to someone who will wait so 0 chance of that happening.
