My credit union did the same yesterday. Sent overnight. Did you have to send an email of the check to order support for verification also? I thought that was strange.

I wish there was tracking on location of the cars similar to monitoring packages on FedEx. My SA said it is scheduled to arrive on 3/28 and I can pick up on 3/30. However, I want to see where it is... Is it on the train? Is it in the rain? Did it stop here? Did it go there?

I'm curious still as these posts were from 2018. I wonder if the curing process has changed since then as it "seems" the paint has been better off the line.

Friday my SA said I had a gate date of 3/14. My window has been steadily increasing by one day each day as well (3/19 -> 3/20 -> 3/21 -> 3/22). Now I'm back to 6-9 weeks. I wonder if my gate date will hold and I wonder if the fire throws all the timelines out the window.

Are you getting paint correction as well or was it even necessary? Also, the ultra low profiles have the rims looking very close the ground. I know they're not too bad, but yikes.

Does anyone know if a gate date is "guaranteed" or does it vary similar to delivery date?

It really is a curious thing how this process has worked. Super simple ordering and then range/date purgatory. I definitely understand the delays because of the microprocessor shortage but now it would seem this would be more of a steady awareness of when specific vehicle design combinations...

Yes. I asked my SA what was the status of my order because I was getting moving delivery dates and that's when they told me about the soft match.

I'm guessing your production was completed. From what I was told by my SA, once it "rolls off the line" the VIN has been assigned and you get the email/text/call alerting you that a VIN has been provided. Soft match happens before VINs are assigned and it's basically like you have been assigned...

They haven't provided a VIN yet, but they have identified the specific vehicle on the production line that will eventually be mine.
