The handle module cannot be the problem your fuse blowing. It's either a broken wire or the motor that could force too much. Does your fuse blow repeatedly when you replace it? Do you hear the motor running when you open the car? Maybe there is some coding involved when you replace the module...

Update: I tried the "FULL" option yesterday. When you choose it, it downloads and operates like an update. You have the yellow button then it reinstalls the software. It didn't fix the issue though, handle is still not working :(

That's a good question and actually there is no wiring between the handle and the latch. According to the diagram, the handle sends information to the DCM, internal handle switch sends a different info to the DCM, then the DCM interprets it and sends an info for the latch to open. I checked...

I agree that it doesn't make sense but at least I'll be one step further troubleshooting the problem. Based on my research all handles share the same parts number, so at some point, there must be a programming or something to do to make the system recognize the handle.

Yes, the part number is 1022379-00-B and seems to be the same without regards to the handle location. Don't you think the Linbus signal go to DCM then the door module manages separetly the signal for the front and rear handles?

Update of the day, I finally found some time to replace the handle module by a brand new one. The handle behaves exactly the same as before so not improvement. I put the one I removed in the rear door handle and the rear is working fine now. So it tells me that the only part in the middle...

Very unlucky!! Have you tried to check the wiring in the door and also the front door? That's a common problem and if one wire is cut, you won't have any signal.

IMHO easiest solution would be to replace the headlights by EU models. (or even sell the car and buy a new one) That being said, be cautious cause they are other stuff to check, especially in France for example where they are very peaky with mods, etc. Where are you moving?

You're 100% right, and that's why I said preventively and not correctively just to make this common problem won't be a concern of yours ;) Is the rest of the door working (inside door opening, lights, side mirror, windows, etc.)?

Hi Stunned Monkey, Problem seems similar, and I'd say that my guess is your control module too (internal to the handle). You can preventively check the wiring between the car and the door, there's a black stuff (I don't know the name in english), you remove it and check no wire is broken, etc...

That's my guess too. I will definitely check the microswitches one more time just to be 200% sure, I'll also try the handle on the rear door (just connecting the plug and see if it works, then it will be a replacement of the handle controle module.

I did, and it spins effortless in both directions.

Soooooo I investigated a little this afternoon and found.... nothing. I checked the wiring, everything looks good I checked if I have 12v at the handle plug, it's ok (pin 1 and 2) I checked the continuity in the wiring between handle plug and the DCM plug in the door, it's ok Pin 1:12v - ok...

I know it's not on the south shore, but I did my MS at Polar Teinte They took me 200$ (without taxes as I paid in cash 🙊) and the service was top-notch. I'll definitely go back there for future cars

I agree with StealthP3D and think everything has been said. Maybe you can have a look at the load index as well, sometimes manufacturers offer different options and the higher the better.
