The Tesla Inverters and the Tesla Powerwall+ do not currently meet the NJ TI's RGM requirements

I was asking Tesla advisor through chat for the status of my PTO (past 6 months city inspection and 9 months after installation) and found out that tesla inverter and PW+ do not meet NJ Transition Incentive Program's RGM requirements and they need to install Nuerio meter in inverter and they...

Anyone who installed Tesla solar with PW+ and backup switch got PTO from JCP&L (First Energy) in NJ ? I have Tesla solar roof (15kW with 3PW+) installed last November and passed inspection this Feb and waiting on PTO. Tesla told me my interconnection application got rejected since backup...

Whole Home Solar Roof + PowerWall - Backup Switch or Gateway?

Our installation was completed in 11/4 with a backup switch (installed in separate box and not integrated with utility meter) and waiting on scheduling inspection. System is performing good and I am happy so far. However, called Tesla to find out status of inspection and they said they are...

I have 4 strings (for 115 active PV tiles) going to 1 inverter (part of Powerwall+) and 3 strings (for 94 active PV tiles) to another inverter. I have a site plan and do have all the information but I cannot see string information showing voltages and amps from 192 address in app. Maybe I have...

Will Tesla Solar move roof plumbing vents and upgrade panel to 200 amp before solar install?

Thanks for sharing picture. I just talked to Tesla install lead and he said it is ok to cover plumbing vents with solar tiles since there is a gap between vents and tiles. He mentioned Tesla changed installation instruction about plumbing vent pie this summer and he has been installing like...

How do you see detail information on each string ? Mine was installed 2 days ago (15kW solar roof with PW+) but cannot access that information (don't see that option) through 192.168.91.1 once I logged in.

Will Tesla Solar move roof plumbing vents and upgrade panel to 200 amp before solar install?

We are in the process of installing Tesla solar roof and just noticed that plumbing vents are covered with non-PV tiles. Anyone experienced this ? Not sure this will comply with local plumbing codes.

Tesla new solar tiles (v3) producing more power ?

It could be but I am getting 3 PW ( guess 2 PW+ and PW 2) so I should have 2 investors which are part of PW+. Electric work was supposed to start this morning but I heard they only have 1 PW+ and trying to locate additional PW+ So electrician is not here yet so I will find morel. BTW, how many...

Tesla new solar tiles (v3) producing more power ?

Solar roof install started last Friday and I just checked with crew lead regarding solar tile installation. He showed me an installation plan and it was having less tiles (originally 256 tiles for 14.97 kW) than my contract but he was saying new tile has more power so that might be reason...

PW installation starts on Monday(10/25) along with solar roof (15kW) and I have question regarding where I can put PWs on my basement. During site-survey, Tesla recommended 3 PWs stack together in the corner of my basement office. However, I change my mind :) and I want to hang those...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I talked to Tesla advisor and he clarified that ice shield is another layer goes below Tesla underlayment so it is nothing special to prevent snow avalanches. My install starts next Monday.

    Solar Roof, big price increase

I got same offer (original price) and I am very happy about it. However, I have noticed that additional $5000 (result from site visit) and advisor told me it is $4000 for ice-shield (NE region might need it ????) and $1000 for gutters removal (they will not charge if I hire someone for gutter...

Just got email & text message saying I have 48 hrs to accept a new agreement. Otherwise it will be cancelled. I have not file anything including arbitration so should I just let it go ? Site survey is done and permit is in process (taking forever) but my price went up $47k and + 5k (after...

    Solar Roof, big price increase

Tesla contract has an accurate information on roof size (I have compared it with roofers' estimate I got few months back and also from www.roofr.com) so I don't think Tesla has wrong information. Also they have all information including roof complexity so how they can factor those now and try...

    Solar Roof Installation Tips

Anyone who knows about on-site Home Assessment from Tesla Solar roof ? Tesla already submitted permit to our township (have been 4 weeks so it is in-progress or already done) so is this a prior step before installation ? They said it will take about 2 hrs and need to access attic, main panel...

    Solar Roof Installation Tips

For ridge vents, installers cut plywood at the peak of roof to make gap or gap was already there ? I am asking since most Tesla solar tile installation videos showed everything seem to be sealed (including peak) with roof underlayment before installing solar tiles.
