The Model S is available again. The previous buyer backed out for financial reasons.
Price is $87k for everything listed in original post. Which I think is a stellar deal.
If I don’t sell the MS by this coming Wednesday (26th) I will sell it to CarMax or Carvana where it will be sold for...
Ok. I am getting close to deciding to sell the car to Carvana or Carmax just to be done with all the hassle. If you are really interested try to let me know in the couple of days. Thanks.

I have/had this. Mine was on the front left. SC said it was a bad bad spring/damper unit. They replaced the unit and the main creak is better. But I still have some low level creaking/clicking when driving at parking lot speeds over rough pavement. It seems to be exacerbated a little when the...
VINtastic Fabulicious!!
I received my VIN on the previous Thursday morning (9/16) and I now have a delivery appointment on 9/28. It really took me by surprise! Every prior communication with Tesla had left me with the impression that delivery was unlikely until mid October at the earliest...
That is nuts! Have you called Tesla to ask how they can justify filling so many earlier orders prior to yours? I’m sure the response would be inadequate but might be worth a try. As someone else mentioned, have you completed the order checklist? If not, that could be the reason. Hope the...
I wonder how many Taycan purchases are conquest sales taken from Tesla due to customers’ extreme frustration with Tesla’s awful communication during the extended ordering and delivery process?
I’m so fed up with Tesla.
After months of nothing but blank I finally get a date range on Monday: Sept 15 - Sept 30.
This morning it’s pushed back 3-4 weeks to Oct 6 - Oct 26 (like several other people).
I’m glad someone on here with a LR and 19” wheels finally received a VIN but I’m not...
I’ve had a blank delivery estimate since the week after I placed the order 3.5 months ago. I even added FSD a few weeks ago hoping that might kickstart the process. No such luck. And no other communication from Tesla. Feels like waiting in the dark for someone to turn on the light. I can only...
In the video (Thanks, Omar!!) the yoke looks awkward to use for regular street driving.
I think there is a good reason why the round steering wheel (aside from flat-bottom) has prevailed over other short-lived squircle and oval designs tried by other manufacturers.
I’m sure one could get...
Cool.
I don’t think I ever actually mentioned “gravity“ itself in my original post. I only tried to describe “g”s, as in the earth’s gravitational force.
I would rather not. I don’t want a headache. I don’t know much of anything about the astrophysical underpinning of gravity.
I think...
Engineering school was more than 2 decades ago, but I thought that 1 G was a force = 9.8 m/sec*sec acceleration per unit of mass at the earth’s surface? It should be a small g. You don’t feel any force during free fall in a vacuum (space), but you do feel air resistance while falling in...
1 G is what someone experiences at the beginning of free fall. Air resistance eats away at the initial acceleration unless in a vacuum like space. So 1.3 G’s feels like you just started falling with 30 percent more acceleration. It must be something to experience! 😲
Sorry to hear they treated you that way. Tesla’s frequent arrogance when dealing with customer concerns in the US will come back to haunt it eventually; like what has happened in China as EV competition has increased.
Ok. I’m frustrated. I feel like Tesla (Elon?) gave a big F**K you to LR order holders last night. Was the LR version mentioned even once last night? If it was I didn’t see it.
I have had a blank delivery estimate for over 3 months. Will I get the the car next month, September, next year? Who...
I like to spend all available money on things like these:
(They will be worth something someday...)
Weird stuff on which to spend $$
A book filled with avocado puns.
I picture a track day as a lot of white-haired geriatric folks, dressed in baggy shorts and tee-shirts, fast walking in an oval around an athletic field.
Is that incoerect?🤨
OK. So by reading through this massive tome of accumulated wisdom I’ve finally managed to decode how the Estimated Delivery thing works
If we guess the right number do we win a new MS?
For those that have followed Elon’s gambits for a much longer time than myself, does he seem to be getting more impulsive over time? I am genuinely curious.
Teslas made in Texas will likely have to leave the state before Texans can buy them
I think you might have misquoted. I’m pretty sure it actually goes like this:
1. Waiting for MS is painful
2. Pain is caused by delay
3. Eliminate delay to eliminate pain
4. Follow the Holy Design Best Practices path to eliminate delay.
🤪
For what it’s (not)worth: I just spoke with one of the Tesla Charlotte,NC SAs. He said he thinks that for my order that July is a reasonable possibility. He said VIN assignment will definitely happen before a delivery notice.
Blank currently. Never had an estimated delivery date aside from the...
In asking that question I was thinking more in terms of the August delivery estimate your SA mentions. I was/am wondering if there’s any particular reason to think that estimate is more accurate than others.
I‘m glad if it actually shook Elon a bit. He has seemed a bit untethered of late.
I‘m not meaning to be an ass, but if the consensus is that all the SAs are all clueless why should the info they gave you be anymore reliable? Serious question.
My blank space went back to “-“.
I am so fed up with Musk and Tesla at this point! This my first EV (and first Tesla, obviously). Maybe if I had perviously owned a Tesla I would be more forgiving and feel less impatient.
I get that delays happen. Especially now.
What’s driving me crazy is...
