Paragon Model S two-piece Rotors installed

Update - Now with ~35k miles on these rotors and having completed a pair of subzero Kansas winters… No issues. When the temperature is -20F and the rotors are cold, they are LOUD. No different than on our Volvo. There remains a rust ring around the rear non-performance caliber which is kind...

Hit a pothole and now 21” rim is bent. Repair, replace or switch to 19” rims?

Repair the 21”, add two-piece rotors and have the look of the turbines (same risk for wheel bending) with the efficiency of 19”s. My .02 ;)

    Buying a 2017-19 used P100D?

I have a ‘17 MS 100D with 85k miles now. No issues and generally extremely reliable. I’d recommend.

    2017 Model S P100D Still no update??? (2022.44.30)

Odd, my ‘17 MS is running FSD 11.4.2 now w/ MCU2. Side repeater cameras were upgraded owning to some issues and we took advantage of the visit to upgrade the top center triple camera as well. Agreed with the previous posts

Recent class action lawsuit related to BMS_u029 alert

And of course, you the customer have the CHOICE to connect the vehicle to WiFi, the CHOICE to install software updates, and the CHOICE to read what’s included before installing the software. Provided that Tesla has disclosed the contents of the software update in full I see zero issue with the...

Real life experience with Xcelerate warranty?

Yep. Normal. XCare can’t pay out based on an estimate, rather just approves the claim. I believe the process goes something like this - 1) Something isn’t right on your Tesla & you have xCare 2) You make appointment with Tesla SC 3) Send your initial estimate to you xCare; they send back a...

Paragon Model S two-piece Rotors installed

Short answer, buy them! There have been no issues, sounds, or abnormalities since install. The only recommendation I have is to order the coated ones. There is a ~20mm band of surface rust on the rear rotors where the pad doesn’t sweep owing to the difference between the calipers & pads from...

    Alerts PM_w041_dasMIA & APS_w134_appMia

Tesla said it wasn’t anything to worry about. Though I broke my leg and had to cancel the service appointment before they could physically see the car. Their input was based on remote scan. I’ll wait until I can walk again and then make an appointment for annual service and get it looked at...

Bulge in Tire and Tire Rack

Purchased a set of OEM 21" Michelin tires for our '17 MS back in September of '22. A few days ago while backing into a parking space I saw an odd shape in the mirror as it tilted down. Sure enough bulge in the side wall. Didn't know it but TireRack included a 2 year road hazard replacement...

Seeking Advice on Purchasing 2018 MS 100D

We have a used Tesla ‘17 MS 100D, purchased directly from Tesla. In my 2 years of ownership I have had no issues with the door handles, drive units, battery or headlight LEDs. My warranty claims include frunk actuator replacement and AP/FSD camera replacement/upgrade. I have replaced the rear...

Big Brake Kit Owners Question regarding factory warranty | BBK

Rather than BBK, I opted for a Two-Piece rotor setup. Drops rotational mass yet retains the OEM rotor dimensions and calipers. Pair that with an Ohmmu light weight battery and I’ve shaved ~57 pounds of mass. I used Paragon Brakes for the two-piece and they are a direct fit with no fuss.

    Model S Phantom Breaking

We had very bad phantom braking with our ‘17 MS 100D. I had Tesla upgrade the front fender cameras, and the windshield camera as there were codes stored for apparent objects it was detecting. The windshield camera was loose from Tesla and likely vibrating. This, according to the Tech, COULD...

Buyer Be Ware: RPM Tesla Cubby

RPMTesla should be banned from advertising here. Their customer service is horrid and lacking any ownership of issues that comes with selling substandard parts. I’m pleased, and a bit surprised, that they are doing any kind of return/exchange for you! RPMTesla…dubious at best.

Kansas City Service Center - amazing!

Just finished using our XCare for the first time and what an exceptional process! From the time I called to approval was ~3 hours. They asked a few simple questions and done! After the deductible, the repairs for the left and center active aero and ducting was ~$1200. To the XCare team...

Are camber correction kits worth it?

My ‘17 100D as the 21” Turbines (square setup), and I installed the n2itive Lowering Links and Camber/Toe Adjustment arms. This was largely to address the shudder issue under hard acceleration and secondarily the problematic S/X rear camber/toe adjustment. In the ~20k miles, it has been...

Buying a used 2019 Model S 100D what should I be on the lookout for?

Carefully inspect for interior scratches/marrings exceeding 1” and hold Tesla accountable for repair. Ensure that you inspect the body, bumpers, etc for transport damages; any mark exceeding 1” they owe you repairs. Window, tail gate, and frunk should operate normally. Test drive and listen...

    Supercharger - Springfield, MO

This SC station needs some attention. It’s rated at 150 by Tesla but my two recent stops found a peak of 90 and 74 respectively. PlugShare reports the same for some time. And yeah, it is labeled oddly. Great place to stop though! The Waffle House is a nice perk!

How long is the warranty on the 12V battery?

    N2itive Camber Arms?

I have a ‘17 MS 100D and swapped over from 19” Slipstreams to 21” Turbines, then added the N2itive lowering link kit and adjustable links. That said, I did not retain the stock toe adjustment. My experience, you‘ll need both the Camber and Toe arm. There will not be sufficient adjustment in...

    2017 Model S 100D Charging

    2018 75d vs 100 d

While shopping our Model S, we spoke with Tesla who directly commented that there is different battery chemistry between the 90 and 100 battery packs. Face value here; I’m merely relaying what I was told. At the end of the day, get the biggest battery ya can.
