In your case, you should just buy a full carbon fiber replacement and just swap out whenever you feel like it. The cap is taped on top of the wood and may leave marks when you try to remove it. Also you would have to peel off tape and re apply double sided tape Everytime you want to remove it...

I've seen plenty of dash wraps but no one has posted the door wood trim being wrapped. It's actually very easy to pop out those wood trim panels so you can do a nice wrap. I used 3m 2080 series carbon fiber wrap. You'll need a hook style trim tool to pop out the door trim. It's clipped in VERY...

If you don't want to cut the wires, maybe try to de-pin those wires instead? Usually a very fine pick should do the trick. That way if it doesn't work out, you can always put the pins back in.
