just called another location and they said they are waiting on a firmware update but there isn't an ETA for it

Just talked to an SA... There is no firmware update or chip issue. The issue for delays is the increase in sales and back log from the 1st quarter. This is a line of BS IMO. I asked if they are delivery cars then why are 10k in containment and lots of cars on lots sitting there.... No answer...

Not sure I’ll wait if the dates get pushed beyond June. I’ll have to go another direction personally

Could delay it from what I hear as they set the line up for certain wheels/color etc but don't quote me on that as I'm a new owner and only go off what the SA told me

Rockville MD keeps saying any day for the firmware update

It would be nice if they actually stated what the firmware update is and what it fixes exactly. It seems to be big if it is halted the majority of the deliveries. This seems to be the worst part with Tesla, no clarity.
