I live in the Bay Area. Is it OK to park my Tesla Y outside with cover and keep charger plugged in?

Just returned from an SF Bay Area-to-LA road trip for the 7-4 weekend (first Tesla road trip). Measured I traveled 88 miles using about 120 miles of Tesla-estimated available range. Traveled 95% on freeways for the 88 miles.

After my MY delivery, I received a survey via email about my purchase experience. I had to give a very negative review hoping they will improve.

I can't get hold of anyone in the Dublin store and no one is responding to my text and email. So frustrating! Have no clue whether it will be delivered or not today.

Today is the home delivery day. I am eagerly awaiting. Texted and emailed them. No words from the Dublin delivery store yet.

My Tesla is paid and added to the insurance policy. Just waiting for the home delivery tomorrow. Fingers crossed it will arrive as planned. I still have my doubts it will arrived on time lol

Received an automated call from the Dublin store confirming home delivery tomorrow. Looks like it is happening. Keeping fingers crossed.

Received a text that they are moving my home delivery date forward to 6/20. Can't believe I am receiving good news.

Finally, I was able to talk to an SA in the Dublin store and reconfirmed delivery for next Monday. Hopefully, this is for real. 🤞

Has anyone been able to get hold of an SA in the Dublin store? I've been calling yesterday and today and no one picks up my calls.

SA told me the home delivery date on my account page is not accurate. I guess you can't trust any EDD shows up on the account page period. Lol

When calling the Dublin store, press option 3 for sales then someone should pick it up. When I press 4 for new car delivery, no one ever picks up. A little trick for you to try ;-)

I did not ask and they did not say. I just assumed they have many deliveries to make. Let us know if you get a chance to ask.

No worries, I am in the same situation. I contacted my SA, found out my delivery center (in my case it is the Dublin Tesla store) and contacted them to confirm delivery logistics. I specifically as about the process to initiate a reject/return if there are major issues with the car.

Today is a good day. My account is now showing home delivery on 6-21 between 5-9m. Fingers crossed this will stick.

Got a text from Tesla that they will deliver the MY to my home. Spoke to the delivery store (Dublin store) and they said they are only doing home delivery now. They are not letting folks picking up at the store.

My VIN is assigned, and the Tesla account page asks me to make a final payment before delivery. Can I ignore this for now and pay with a check after I have a chance to inspect the car?

I plan to travel from the bay area to LA for the 4th of July weekend. Should I be concerned about lines at charging stations?

Received a new VIN just now and it is requesting payment. What a roller coaster ride. I will believe it when I pick up my car.

It seems that Tesla will have a poor Q2 delivery due to the global supply chain shortage.

This purchase experience certainly has turned out to be a roller coaster ride. I received my previous VIN on page 127 of this forum. Now it looks like I won't receive it again util page 300+. 😭😭😭

SA did tell me that it was manually matched by a mistake. I do prefer getting a car that is newly built for me instead of a manual match from a rejected transaction. Who knows if the previous owner rejected it due to quality concerns.

Spoke to an SA and he says my original VIN was matched incorrectly. The new EDD is now in July. I ordered on 4-12. This just sucks big time!

This is strange. I received a VIN on 6-8 and it is now gone with an EDD for September. Is this a joke? :eek::eek::eek:

I have a VIN assigned two days ago. I spoke to my SA and he said my car has been built. They just need to prep for delivery. Hopefully, he is telling the truth.

Finally just received my VIN. Let's hope they keep the EDD accurate.

I am going to wait for my MY to get built. The forever-changing EDD sucks big time, but I am pretty sure it will be ready in June.

My SA told me that when you get a 9-13 weeks EDD, it means 9-13 weeks from the time of the order, not from the current date.

Looking at the "Current Delivery Times" thread, there are folks on the East Coast who ordered their MY in May are getting their VINs and deliveries. I still don't have a VIN yet. Not fair!

Has anyone in the Fremont delivery received a VIN?
