Yes; You would not be able to use Sentry Mode because all of the cameras would be covered. The car cover would have to provide for access to the Tesla's charge port. So if you are not going to be able to use Sentry Mode because of the car cover why leave the Tesla plugged in? When the Tesla is plugged in, asleep, you lose ~1% to 2% of the battery charge per day. You could plug in and charge once a week or even every 14 days. If you are driving the vehicle less than that then why own the vehicle?

I would be concerned about theft, vandalism and rodents. Tires can develop flat spots (usually this will be corrected by driving) if the vehicle sits for long periods. If you are trying to protect the finish know that over time the wind can cause the car cover to damage the finish on the vehicle.
