    A/C Compressor Noise

Mine has made a similar sound since new (June 2014).

    Apple CarPlay & Android Auto

They're not even giving us AM. Why on Earth would would you expect CarPlay?

No AM Radio on 3 (Like the X)

This happened to me yesterday on my drive home. This is why AM is important to have and not to rely on TuneIn for AM content. Tesla needs to reconsider this "no AM" option. It's not rocket science.

    AC vented seats

Many of the AC seats used in other vehicles (Ford F150 for example) employ a fan which passes air over a Peltier Effect cooler in the seat. These take a significant amount of power to operate. Not a problem with an ICE vehicle, but I expect the effect on range would be an issue with a BEV.

    Warm Silver Pictures (aka Titanium)

I like the warm silver a lot. Very Aston-like. If I hadn't bought my brown last year and was looking to buy now, I would consider this color (with black interior).

What category of car did your Tesla replace?

My Model S replaced my Ford F150 SVT Raptor.

    1st World Problems?

Agreed. I could afford my Model S when I bought it in June. I can also afford to sell it and upgrade. However, I choose not to as my car is awesome. I bought it with the intent to drive it for 8-10 years and with full understanding that it will sooner or later be obsolete compared to upcoming...

    Disappointed with the D unveiling

I took delivery of my 85 in June, with the intention of driving it 8-10 years, knowing full well that the car would become obsolete over time. I have never expected to upgrade any of the hardware on the car. Software? Yes. Hardware? No. The D will be great for those in snow areas. All the semi -...

    Crash Sensors

Jason, where did you get the information regarding the crash sensor locations? Most modern vehicles use a single point sensing system typically located where the floor pan meets the firewall (at least for frontal impact sensing and deployment of the steering wheel and dashboard airbags). I would...

    Tesla Abandons Model E Trademark

"Darkstar, Whitestar, Bluestar". Too close to "Windstar" or "Aerostar" for my tastes.

I will let Autoweek expire, you should too.

AutoWeek is part of Crain Communications; publisher of Automotive News, which is THE trade journal for the American auto industry. They wouldn't exist if it weren't for Detroit, and they exist to serve the entrenched industry.

Hello from the SFV in Sunny SoCal

Well, finally pulled the trigger today and ordered from Michael at the Topanga store. My daily schlep up and down the 405 from the SFV to the South Bay finally did me in. I MUST be in that HOV lane, and I'm willing to pay for the privilege! That, and $4.35 per gallon for gas. Can't take it...

How to convince a wife that a tesla is a great addition to my garage?

My wife is so cheap, she loses it if I buy a sausage mcmuffin over making breakfast at home. After one drive in a Model S, she was sold. That's the trick. Get her to test drive one. We'll be ordering ours soon.

    Collective noun for Model S?

Hello from the SFV in Sunny SoCal

Hello to one and all, Potential owner here. Got a chance to test drive a Model S P85+ in Monterrey this past August and was smitten like so many others. Of course this was on the heels of my already having placed an order for a different vehicle. Did another test drive this past weekend at the...
