    FSD V11 Discussion - First Released 11/11/22 at 11:11PM - Maybe

I am seeing significant improvements in AP on v11. Sections of road the car just could not handle before are no longer a problem, particularly with weird lane markings. Good stuff, looking forward to trying the auto high beams on this release.

    2022.40.4 Issues

40.4 changed the way Driver Door Unlock Mode functions. This might be the cause?

FWIW - the seat heaters and heated steering wheel shortcuts can be pinned to the bottom shortcut bar on the main display. Long-pressing the temperature on the shortcut bar will turn off the climate system. Totally agree with you on the auto wipers/high beam being forced on.

Accident averted, but that leaves more unanswered questions.

Pressing the dash cam icon on the display will also save the prior 10 minutes of footage.

    Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Same experience here on 245/45/18, I perceive them to be quieter than the stock MXM4 (worst tires I’ve ever driven on). I’d contend the 3db increase in noise is well worth the decrease in stopping distance. My interior squeaks and rattles are far more grating than tire noise, anyway.

Tesla replacing ultrasonic sensors with Tesla Vision

If the process is the same to when I accepted delivery of one of the first cars with radar removed, you are notified of the removed features and reduced capability and must sign and accept prior to delivery of the vehicle. Tesla always covers their butt…

Touch Up Paint or Paint Shop Recommendations

I’ve had good results with the Tesla touch-up kit repairing small stone chips. They are still noticeable if you know where to look, but the main function of touch-up paint is protecting the underlying metal from corrosion, not restoring a factory finish. If you’re looking for a “perfect”...

    Uberturbine Aero Covers

Finally received mine after being held in Customs for twelve days. They seem to have been worth the wait, fit is excellent, no odd noises or rattles. Mine included non-branded center caps and foam strips loose in the box.

    Phantom Braking

Apologies if this has already been discussed - this thread is huge - but I wonder how much of a factor location plays in which cars and how often PB events are experienced? To throw more anecdotal evidence on the fire, I purchased my car while living in Las Vegas and spent 14 months driving it...

Tesla replacing ultrasonic sensors with Tesla Vision

I believe they are referring to curve-adaptive headlights, which have been around for years (my 2015 Jag has them). Adaptive driving beam headlights are a bit different to several other “adaptive headlight” features that have been approved in the U.S for some time. Short article on the...

    2022.20

If true, then including tire pressure in range estimates doesn’t seem particularly helpful in increasing accuracy. FWIW my TPMS was always accurate at sea level to within .5 PSI. It only became inaccurate beyond that once at altitude.

Tesla Failed to Send in my Registration

Good luck, I moved to a new state and have been trying to get them to transfer the title to the new state since April. About every four weeks they call me to tell me I moved to a self-registration state (which I’m aware of as the car is already registered here). I’m going in circles trying to...

    2022.20

Hmmm, including tire pressure in the range estimate calculations could introduce inaccuracy for those of us living/driving in higher elevations since the TPMS system does not seem to adjust for the decreased pressure at altitude. Certainly not quickly, anyway. I moved from sea level to the...

2022 Apple CarPlay update vs Tesla UI

Tesla AirPlay Support, Lossless Audio Will Be Discussed with Team: Musk - TeslaNorth.com This is based on an Elon tweet, so “two weeks” and all… 🙄 I doubt we’ll see CarPlay any time soon due to AP’s reliance on Nav data, but making it an Airplay device could be an option.

Discussion: Tesla Vision system for Model 3/Y

Not in Utah, where the speed limit is 80mph. I just drove across Utah, and was being passed by semi trucks while stuck at 80mph with AP on. The update to 90mph can't come soon enough for some of us, at least then I'd have the option to choose to keep up with traffic in exchange for an extra 10...

Speed limit of 40 detected, missed detecting the 70; how to tell the car it is 70?

I am also hamstrung to 35mph in a 55mph zone for several miles on a highway near my house due to a lack of visible speed limit signs. It would be nice if the car could fall back to speed limit data stored with the mapping data (a la Google Maps) in the absence of a readable speed limit sign, and...

    keeping paint clean

Compounding/polishing removes a surface layer, wax does not as it is designed to create a layer over the surface for protection and shine. There are some "cleaning" waxes with light abrasives, however it would take longer than your lease period to have any measurable effect on the clear coat...

Can we talk about rattles & noises, and them not being covered under warranty?

I'm currently chasing down an intermittent rattle in my passenger-side B-pillar, I suspect it is the seatbelt height adjustment mechanism. I've already addressed rattles from both front fender liners and missing clips on an interior trim piece. Mine was tight as a drum for about the first...

    Requesting Blox Spacers Reviews/inputs

Yeah, his answer wasn't very clear as both the hub and spacer use M14x1.5 thread. I ended-up doing 103.5ft-lbs spacer to the hub and factory spec (129ft-lbs) wheel to the spacer based on more research, as that seems to be the general consensus that I found.

    Requesting Blox Spacers Reviews/inputs

I emailed BONOSS asking them the same question and received this reply: I torqued the spacers to the hub at 103.5ft-lbs and the wheels to the spacers at 129ft-lbs. No issues in over 3000 miles of driving since installing them at those torque settings.

How do I avoid a road and have it renavigate me to a destination
