I am pretty confident based on posts from June 2021 that folks who got the text will receive their car in Sept 2021. It's like that folks in California who got the text (esp nor cal) will be the last one in Sept to get the car.

I got the text too ! I remember in June 2021, many folks received the same text. I am traveling during the last week of Sept and it would be the worst if they set up my delivery time during that week :'(

For the first time ever since ordering and completing my profile on 24th May that my EDD is <20days. It's Aug 23 - Sept 9 now. It's been 3 months now.

You probably can't but you can probably find someone to buy the car from you as soon as you pick up. So it will be brand new for them. Given the wait on model Y right now and the price increase you can certainly make some decent money

If the answer is yes why bother getting it matched and not take the loan directly from 3rd party CU like DCU ? Are there any advantages that I am missing ?

Many posts indicate that if the EDD window is shortening it means one is getting closer to delivery. Those who got VINs, can you confirm the length of your delivery window irrespective of actual dates ? My EDD is 13th Aug to 2nd Sept and the window length has been 20 days ever since I ordered...

BTW, in the source code you can also look for "isNotMatchedToRa00Vin" If the value is true - it means VIN is not assigned. I think this variable value will become false even when VIN is soft matched to car undergoing production

No activity here. I have a late may order no EDD at the moment. Seeing a burst of VINs last week for early and mid may orders last week, I was hopeful of getting a VIN this week but alas ! It's crime to hope for anything at this point

I too think that when EDD disappears it might be a sign that you are getting closer to VIN assignment. I think, when the software can't figure out a reasonable estimate - it uses Oct / Nov as placeholder. When the software thinks that VIN assignment is imminent - it doesn't show anything.

The source code trick should have 2 results for 5YJ if you added a trade in. Otherwise 1. BTW, from my research of their page's source code (I do frontend eng work like this for a living) - the trick will only help you find your VIN a few hours (at max) before it officially appears on your...

My EDD moved from Aug11 - Aug 31 (had been there for last 2 weeks) to Aug6 - Aug 26. I am quite confident that this time, the window is more or less accurate. I know I am getting closer to delivery day, but waiting for >2 months have made me lose most of my excitement.

That won't put you at the end of the queue if that's what you're worried about. It's only another credit check.

SA is lying. This can be done. Referrals can be added even after delivery ! My friends did this very recently. Even I added my friend's referral 1 month after I ordered.

Email anyone at Tesla or chat with Tesla agent on website ask give them your friend's referral code. They can add to your account.

Not a single VIN assigned today as per the tracker spreadsheet. And on multiple threads I only read about one person getting VIN today (not sure if was last night or today). This hasn't happened since the time I joined here (>1 month, 5/24 order). I wonder if this the calm before the storm - or...

Congratulations. Yours is the first order in late May that has received VIN (discarding those who snapped inventory vehicles). Hopefully more May orders will be fulfilled before 30th June

You can also turn "Request Desktop Site" in your chrome mobile settings to get signature in portrait mode on phone.

My EDD is slowly shifting by one day every day :( After April orders received some love over last couple of days I was hoping May orders might get VINs over the weekend.

PPF and Mudflaps are installed by SC before delivery only in some states (probably north states with ice and salt on road). It has no correlation to VINs

April orders are finally getting some love. Batch distribution of VINs I guess. Please update the sheet ! And congrats to all of you. I would love to see some pics while I wait for mine. You guys are all like family at this point.

I have been on July 23 to Aug 12 window for a while now. My SA told me it's more or less accurate. I don't have FSD or Performance package. Mine is cheapest config.
