Canadian vs. American model Y... why the range difference?

Well I guess it's too bad Tesla doesn't have anything together in the information department, but I could expect as much judging from my delivery experience and trying to take delivery of my next Model Y. I keep getting frustrated then keep remembering that I'm dealing with Tesla... it's my own...

Canadian vs. American model Y... why the range difference?

I'm just quoting what the advisor told me at the service center. Not sure about Model Y's (missed that this was a Y thread) but my friend does indeed charge his Canadian M3 to 100% every day as suggested by Tesla. Then again, last night I had a different advisor argue with me about how the new...

Canadian vs. American model Y... why the range difference?

Just in case this hasn't been mentioned, the smaller capacity batteries coming from Shanghai are able to be charged to 100% daily as opposed to the Freemont batteries taking an 80% daily charge (as recommended by Tesla). I guess you would feel the difference during long road trips but the...

    Pricing Revealed

You're right, I prefer my premium EVs to be almost undrivable in storms due to missing windshield wiper rain sensors, low-res cameras that cause my high beams to behave erratically and blind oncoming traffic, phantom brake checking trucks behind me on the freeway. Then when it's all going so...

China releases upgraded Model Y (not Juniper)

Her advisor in Montreal told her they are 'old stock' from Shanghai which include stalks and 19" Gemini wheels (grey).

China releases upgraded Model Y (not Juniper)

Curious about this as well. Wife in Canada just got her MYLR vin yesterday for a late Dec delivery and it's a 2023. Came with the usual disclaimer about it not including ultrasonic sensors and the image in her app shows grey rims.

    Model Year 2024 Model Y

lol is there a reason I shouldn't care? Always a chance Tesla drops prices further in the next few years and I suddenly get the option to buy after the lease end. Also no idea if 2024's might decide to have some of the upgrades I've seen floating around...

    2024 VINs?

Posted in the other thread as well- I received my MY Long Range VIN today for November 17th delivery in New England and it's still a 2023.

    Model Year 2024 Model Y

Just assigned my MY Long Range VIN today and it's a 2023 (10th digit is P). Might push back until I get a 2024 but it's a lease so not sure if it makes a difference... *Edited to note I'm taking delivery of a US based MY just in case my profile location confuses anyone ;)

    Refund-worthy PPF job?

Honestly despite the research I did before getting the PPF done I didn't know to ask about whether or not it was custom vs precut. But good advice- I'll see if they can get it right next time or I'll have to contact my credit card company and take it somewhere else. Would the corners be peeling...

Sorry to revive the thread- can I ask you to DM me about Cali PPF info? I'm new so I don't think I'm allowed to DM anyone yet.

    Refund-worthy PPF job?

Good point, I think I was mostly caught up in the emotion of REALLY looking at the pics as I was uploading them and posting. If a few people came in and mentioned their jobs looked similar or that I'm absolutely being picky, I'd likely live with it. Good to know your opinion, thanks for your input!

    Refund-worthy PPF job?

Hi guys! Been stalking these threads for a while and decided to join in order to ask the community's opinion on whether or not this PPF install merits a refund. I had a 'full frontal' PPF with ceramic coating applied over it at a shop recommended by other users here. After install the shop said...
