The state will get their tax from you based on the price you paid for the car on the 6.25%.. The good old Tax/Title/License fees

Oh and you will received a packet from Tesla within a couple weeks after delivery witht he necessary paperwork you will need to take to your local DPS to pay the taxes on the car to get your permanent registration.

I was told that the taxes you pay is based off the finance portion minus your down payment. So lets say your total car purchase is $60k but you put $10k down, your Texas taxes will be 6.25% of the $50k owed on the car.

Finally picked up my MYP on Saturday 8/28 and it had the 8/21 manufacturer date on it. I thought wow, my VIN is a 252 and I originally ordered it on 7/5.

Well I took delivery of my MYP today and everything came out perfect except the wing would not stick on one end so i did a service request. MYP had 5 miles on it upon delivery but I had so many things to do today that it now has 268.

I'm still up! Never went to sleep! I know i will be paying for this later.

Well got a call today from out local Tesla Center about 5:15pm saying my MYP has passed their quality review check and ready to pick up but they close at 6pm. Since I would not make it in time before they close, I schedule to go in at 10am when they open. I am super excited now!

Received Text today to schedule delivery on 9/1...It said it could be sooner as well. Interesting though, when I ordered MYP, it said based on my home location, they could not deliver and i'd have to get it from the nearest Tesla location which isn't too far from me but today's text stated they...

Lol, mine couldn't either so I just created a spreadsheet with a date formula to keep up with the changes. My frined received her MYLR in June and didn't believe how often my date keeps changing.

I read somewhere on this forum I believe that typically when you get within that 10 range of your EDD, your VIN shows up and often times you can schedule delivery same day in some cases. In other cases it said once you get the VIN, if delivery is not within that day, it happenes within 1-2...

Since I received a VIN today only by looking at my account, I hadn't heard anything. I called and was told my vehicle is still in California waiting to be loaded onto a train that will go up to their hub in Mesquite, Texas then from there to me here in Houston and should expect it this month...

Wow, that's interesting. A friend told me when she got her VIN in June they told her something similar but by the end of the day she was able to pick up her MYLR. She's also in Houston and did her pickup at the Westheimer location which is where i'll be going as well.

I am super excited now, I just received my VIN. I added and uploaded my insurance, now my question to the group is how long after this will I get a delivery date/time? My EDD now says 8/26-9/1

I ordered a MYP 7/5, my EDD goes up and down daily but it help firm for about 4-5 days then the last 3 days the date changed each day. Now mine says 8/12-9/1..I'm in Houston

Mine has been pushed again now saying EDD 8/5-8/25.

I'm new here but I ordered MYP Blue/White yesterday 7/5 and was told I should have my VIN by end of this month or beginning of August but also not to expect delivery until sometime in mid to late September.
