Date range starting to narrow - moved back, but narrowed to 10/24 - 11/3

After two days in window, finally got pushed out to oct 19 - Nov

I never got an SA but called today for the first time curiously since I'm in my EDD. They told me my build date was scheduled for 10/11. I know people have had wildly varying results as to whether any info like that is actually close (or maybe even just made up), but it's another data point...

We have the exact same config and ordered within a week or so of each other. Maybe they'll be doing a batch of these together soon!

I think the Thursday vote is for the $1 trillion infrastructure bill, which (as far as I know) doesn't have EV incentives in it. The larger $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill (which does currently have EV credits) doesn't have a voting date as democrats don't yet think they have enough support...

Yeah who knows if it holds - I have a 1 week trip in there which I know a lot of people have juggled and I'm nervous about my delivery falling into that time and if I'll end up missing the car. I've heard varying reports of how flexible an SA will be with adjusting the delivery window.

EDD moved up after over 2 weeks of being steady

Still no changes here for nearly 2 weeks now. Bummed I won't get in on the EoQ delivery and now starting to fear that with my luck it's going to come during a trip I have 2nd week of October.

EDD not seeing much change these days. Been the same over the last 2 weekends now which is unusual - used to a weekend reset of some kind

There is some debate, but many of us think it is a phrase some SA's use to provide a fictitious connection to a fictitious car to make those of us waiting feel some sense of hope. The claim is it's some kind of tentative assignment to an as yet unassigned (and perhaps not yet built) VIN.

That said - you're not supposed to use Aluminum wire to go directly to the wall connector. Good for a subpanel, not good for wiring directly to TWC

On the other hand, it'll likely make repair costs go up substantially. - if the large castings get damaged, the repairability is way lower (replace the whole cast? try to weld it? total the car?)
