Yes I have since start of Feb. I was in an earlier batch however since my collection choices were from 15th Feb to 3rd March. I wanted a 22 plate and still in the process of shifting my M3.
So received a while ago the SMS to prepare for delivery. Checked the account and indeed VIN has been assigned with an ETA delivery of 14-28th February. I only ordered on January 4th (MYLR black with black and 19" wheels). I won't be taking delivery before 1st March in any case so I'm going to...
I feel bad now posting this originally if it's causing so many new Tesla owners sleepless nights checking theirs and others tail lights and causing arguments with spouses 😂 However that Tesla CS answer made me chuckle.
So I have a September 2021 MIC LR, saw some videos on youtube regarding the tail lights where it clearly demonstrates a "longer" turn signal at the back including a reverse light on both sides. You can see it here
I've had a look at my car and it does not have these. Short turn signal and only...
I picked up from Southampton in September, this is the exact location of it (red dot). Collection area is the red area. I couldn't see any signs on the way in and my Uber was a little confused too lol. Observe my paint skills.
It really isn't. I've had the Matte now for a month and since day one it fuzzied up the screen. Been trying to see if I get used to it but just can't. Probably will peel off soon and get glossy (you can still see fingerprints on the matte).
In AC charging it is the cars converter that is limiting it, which in a Model 3 is 11kW. Doesn't matter what cables you plug into it, unless the chargepoint is DC, you will not get over (3x230Vx16A) which is 3 phase European AC 11kW.
Stopped at Rownhams Services eastbound yesterday to gauge the current situation of the planned new chargers. No work has started as of yet and SuC map still showing Q4 2021 target.
So today was collection day for myself!
Finding the collection site in Southampton port was easy enough. Not great signposts but my Uber knew where to go (maybe not the first person collecting lol).
I spotted my car at the front in the tent before going to speak to the Tesla people. Whole...
As far as I know September at Giga Shanghai is only for domestic production to get as much out in Q3 as possible. When October starts, the production lines for Europe will be back on and the first ships start departing mid/late October for November/December collections. Usually no collections in...
So collection day for me tomorrow! With the current ongoing fuel issues this definitely feels like the right time to get a Tesla. I also found THIS "news" article quite hilarious today  I'll let you all know how it pans out!
There is an absolute abundance of cars now on the website if anyone is trying to pick one up last minute. Yes, most are demo cars but there are some others too.
It's interesting to hear peoples opinions about this as I will be in a similar situation in a couple of weeks time. I've researched extensively if an EV is right for myself as I will not have home charging (might be able to set up a 10A as a short term backup through the window  ). I have...
Seems to be some misconception here recently that ships "have" to come via Southampton first before going Zeebrugge. If you look at previous Mr Miserable posts and quarters, in plenty of cases the vessels go first to Zeebrugge and then Southampton. It really depends on their schedules afterwards...
Sorry guys I won't have enough time to post daily updates in the coming days. Me and I'm sure most of you hope that Mr Miserable will soon be back from his holidays. We know pretty much the ships coming in now and you can always follow them yourself through marinetraffic and other sources if you...
Yes Tesla kind of "confirmed" to me as well that mine is on Elektra. I've just sold my old car and been pushing to get earlier collection than 28th from Southampton as the car is arriving on the 14th. No other ship is currently scheduled on 14th full of Tesla's
Daily update for 07/09/2021 Q3 ships
SFL CONDUCTOR is in the English channel after taking a small detour to pick up a pilot from Brixham, UK. She is heading towards Zeebrugge with ETA tomorrow morning 7am.
ELEKTRA is on her way in the Mediterranean travelling at 19kts towards Southampton...
This is the way.
Just sold mine today on Motorway for a VERY good price. The market is crazy right now. 3 weeks to my collection though so will be a hire car for couple weeks, still worth it
A little bit off-topic but one of the cameras where I tend to check for incoming ships to Southampton has had a wild day today!
First there was a fairly big meteorite that was in some other news too late last night
LINK
And today the Isle of Wight ferries check-in booth was demolished by a...
I'm pretty sure she won't make that. She did leave delayed from Shanghai as well. She would have to be where Elektra is now to make 14th. 16th is realistic at this point.
Daily update for 06/09/2021 of Q3 ships still sailing.
SFL CONDUCTOR is in the Bay of Biscay heading towards Zeebrugge. ETA 8th Sep 7am.
ELEKTRA has transitioned Suez and is now in the Mediterranean travelling at around 18 kts, she has also updated her destination to Southampton and ETA for...
It's totally normal that especially on warm summer days cars will drip condensation water from the AC system onto the ground. Nothing specific to Tesla. All of my cars have done it (most brand new). If you are conserned you can always try to check the liquid that comes out, does it smell like...
Have you checked in your Tesla account if you have received a VIN yet? They won't contact you about it but would give indication if you have a car assigned and if you are getting one this quarter or not. I would say to expect November but hope for September. There might even be someone who won't...
Daily update for 05/09/2021 of Q3 ships still sailing.
SFL CONDUCTOR is off the coast of Portugal making her way through the Atlantic towards Zeebrugge. ETA 8th Sep.
ELEKTRA is currently anchored at Suez canal waiting for her overnight transition into the Mediterranean. ETA Southampton 14th...
It looks like she is following her scheduled route again, these have been changing alot recently but she is still scheduled to Zeebrugge 21st Sep. Only 27th Sep to Southampton though so unless something remarkable changes we can probably count this out as a UK Tesla ship unless someone has a...
Just to showcase how delicate and challenging the area around Gulf of Aden and souther Red Sea is, many of the vessels going to Suez are reporting their destination as "Armed guards onboard" to warn and fend off any would-be attackers.
I think she will stop at Southampton around 16th before heading to Zeebrugge. That was Mr Miserable's comments from earlier. I'll add that to my next update to make it clearer. Thanks.
Daily update for 04/09/2021 of Q3 ships still sailing.
SFL CONDUCTOR is currently in the mediterranean approaching the Straight of Gibraltar for her last stretch in the Atlantic headed for Zeebrugge. ETA 8th Sep.
ELEKTRA is on schedule to arrive at Suez tomorrow evening for the 12-16 hour...
That will not hold and will update at some point as she is only arriving to Suez 6-7th Sep. It takes a 9-10 days from Suez to Zeebrugge even if she was pushing it. Not always the most reliable thing that port calendar.
