The window sticker on my LFP car delivered last month shows 262 miles of range. I bet Tesla will eventually update the car so that the display eventually agrees with that.

My LFP sticker shows 262 miles, so it may now be impossible to tell whether an inventory vehicle is an LFP or NCA vehicle without looking at the charge screen or checking the weight.

In your case, I would go with the weight. Which indicates an NCA battery. However, I am surprised there is no “daily“ and “trip” indicator as I do not believe Tesla has changed their advice on max daily charge for the NCA battery.

I think your last point, regarding cost, combined with the fact that most SR+ worldwide have LFP batteries, suggests that LFP may become the default battery for SR+.

If you ordered it from inventory, and the listing showed 253 miles of range, then I would say it is an LFP.

This morning my app showed 254 miles at 100%. But the car itself showed 253.

They did not make me specifically accept the vehicle. I chose it from inventory and my SA assisted me in canceling my prior order and transferring the original reservation fee as a credit. By reserving a second vehicle from inventory, I suppose I accepted it.

The easiest way to identify the battery is to open the charge screen. If there are indicators for “daily” and ”trip,” it is an NCA. If not, it is LFP.

If you go to the Waiting Room for SR+, you will see that there are NCA SR+ vehicles still being delivered in the U.S., so I do not think it is correct that all new SR+ since March 2021 are LFP(at least in the U.S.).

The 7th letter of the VIN is not a reliable way to tell if you have an LFP vehicle. I have an E, and mine is an LFP vehicle. The two best indicators are: (1) the absence of the "daily" and "trip" limits on the charging screen, and (2) the weight (the LFP vehicle weighs 212 lbs more). Here...
