Someone rear-ended and Totaled my beloved Model 3, sharing my experience, DO NOT make the same mistake I did.

It was auctioned by COPART at $11k, not too long ago I found the car reconnected to my phone and the location is somewhere in Ukraine/Russia, far southwest of Mosco... Recently it seems like it has been repaired and updated. I kept checking the VIN, I'll buy it back if it comes back to the US.

That is a perfect summary! And yes, it's a LR AWD... I upgraded it to "P" by sending $3 on eBay.

I know... "Totaled" is a financial decision, not a mechanical decision. Everything can be fixed, with a price... Apparently, my insurance did not like the the number :p

Someone rear-ended and Totaled my beloved Model 3, sharing my experience, DO NOT make the same mistake I did.

Yes, that was a blessing I didn't have any back pain or neck pain at all. Probably some concussion which is normal in this case. I got 2 big bruise from the seat belt C4 on both both sided of my hip, and that's it. The truck got some bad damages as well, I put my bet in the Tesla's structure, so...

Someone rear-ended and Totaled my beloved Model 3, sharing my experience, DO NOT make the same mistake I did.

About the guy who hit my car... He mentioned that the truck is new to him. I felt back for a minute because I work and serve this underserved community. I see people struggle with legit reasons. This world is not perfect. I understand that there are all kinds of reasons not to feel bad of him...

Someone rear-ended and Totaled my beloved Model 3, sharing my experience, DO NOT make the same mistake I did.

Hello all, this is my second post. Same as before, this will be a long read, enjoy it when you can. So long story short, a guy who has no license or insurance rear-ended my 2018 Model 3 on June 20th. The repair bill came back from a Tesla Authorized body shop with 22k. My insurance totaled it...

Cold Feet: Reassurance or Reality - Tesla MYLR as a Road Warrior Vehicle?

Milwaukee here, driving about 40k a year in SE WI and to CHI... I had no problem, and you should not especially your is new with heat pump. Get a set of snow tire (whichever the cheapest from tirerack) and thank me later. Check my post, I wrote something about my Model 3.

    Trust your instruments! :)

Yes the range estimation is getting more and more accurate. I will push to the 1% limit on the roads I know of. But to places I'm not familiar, I usually ask for a 10% charge "error" range on long road trips. I do a lot between WI and IL. The more you drive, the more confident you will be with...

2018 Model 3 Brake noise (Front)

I can't wait for the shipping. And I don't care about the cost sice I've sent the car to SC for check while I do have tools and skills to check myself. Time is what I cared. If I can buy time, I pay for it.

2018 Model 3 Brake noise (Front)

I had some weird clicking/squeaking sound from the front passenger side. Send to service center, nothing found but told to wash more. Paid the diagnosis fee for nothing and want back home. Sound was persistent, I took the wheel off and checked the brake pads. The pad was dismantled... I think...

Part number for the rear sway bar bushings?

My M3LR rear is getting some squeaky noises going over bumps or rolling through go and stops. It's kinda temperature related and can be triggered by both sides. My experience told me to replace the sway bar bushing first and check the links instead of going to a SC. I looked online, the links...

    tire leak when cold

Bead... it happens to me too. My guess is the rim shrinks due to the cold temp, the beads cannot seal the gap then we have a slow rim leak.

What's the EV life like when Model 3 is the only car and drives 40k+ miles a year? Spoiler Alert, very long experience sharing

Having been on this forum for a while, I noticed that we don't have a lot of user experience sharing after some extended time owning a Tesla. I'd like to share some of my experiences that hopefully may shine some light. This is not a review, I'm not talking about the 4680 battery, nor the 0-60...

    Hummer EV

200+kWH battery... we used to say "it's too expensive to fill a Hummer's gas tank!" Now we say "it's too expensive to charge a Hummer's battery pack"... and for home charge at 11.5kw, this gonna take 20 hours! Defeated the purpose completely. BTW I love the look, but I'll pass

A close call with running out of battery power driving home

I use percentage on my battery level and I found my 18 AWD's consumption @75mph is ~2miles/1% in WI winter (~340 kw/mile) and ~3miles/1% (~270 kw/mile) in summer commuting between MKE and CHI. And yes I always charge to 90% in winter and 80% in summer. I don't dial my AC/Heater to much tho.

    All Season Performance Tires recommendations?

Had the DWS on my last car , an Infiniti G37, the noise was bad... I skipped it for my tesla Currently on Michelin Pilot Sport Performance All Season 4 with 18inch wheel from tirerack. No complain at all, very solid tires in terms of cornering and efficiency. In WI, went through last snow...

Looking for real world winter consumption values

My 2 cents: 75mph autopilot, 120 miles highway drive. Outside 35f, ac 68f auto, 2 bars of butt heater. ~310wh/mile. Pilot sports as 4 @ 43psi. Aftermarket cheap 18 inch wheel from TireRack.

Tire wear 2021 Model 3 LR AWD

Yes, it highly depends on your driving style. Here's my 2 cents. the original tires only last about 25k, it was new car, new experience, accelerator was floored quite often. I've heard some OEM tires last more than 40k. I switched to Michelin Tires Pilot Sport All Season 4, and rotated every...
