Yeah...they wanted like a 9 dollar valet fee last time I went...just for me to drive INTO the structure and charge.

Good. I don't know how this lasted as long as it did anyway. Probably a conflict between the property manager and Tesla due to their odd practices.

It's honestly a very slow Supercharger so you aren't missing much. That's probably going to change once the updates are finished though.

You don't get charged to use them though. They have a Tesla validation option on the screen, The code is provided on your app or on your car's screen.

Visited this one over the weekend. Not exactly sure what's going on. They have brand new Superchargers that are currently being installed in spots that weren't for charging before. They also still have the entire back portion of the structure where the other Superchargers are completely blocked...

This charger seems to be partially under construction. The entire back section is fenced off, possibly upgrading the equipment.

Says "Correction Required" as of 5/26.

I just searched the permit number and it's still in the same status as it was in October 2022. The last update was that a change was required. Hopefully they didn't scrap it.

I forgot about this one. That does seem extremely quick for the construction. I also wonder if they will add any new retail/dining in this center because it desperately needs it.

Agreed! I used this one for the first time last weekend and it started off kind of dead, but got busy towards the end. And that road construction makes the line of traffic crazy. I would like to see a Laguna Hills charger closer to furniture row/the mall. Aliso needs one too.

If only those people waiting knew they were 20 seconds from another one! They will probably put up signs at both.

This one is finally open. And as I suspected, nobody knows about it yet. There was a queue around the corner at the OG one and only 2 stalls being used at the new one.

Oh I had no idea they were putting a Tokyo Central there. Nice! I'm sure Mitsuwa isn't pleased though. Also, that center is interesting. The side that has the Supercharger isn't owned by the same landlord as the side with the Buffalo Wild Wings and future Tokyo Central.

I will try to go to the site and post some photos. It's hard to explain the layout of this shopping center, but there is already a Supercharger in this center. The green area is the existing Supercharger and the red is where they have added new stalls. The reason I think it might stay "secret"...

Still the same status last weekend...Attempted to use them, no power. Everything looks completely done though. They even have new trash/recycle cans that weren't there before. Should be up soon hopefully. I still wonder how this will work on the map...Maybe it will be a nice secret for a while...

They're definitely having major problems with this charger. I used it and it was like musical chairs in terms of which were working or not. I would honestly skip this one for now unless you absolutely HAVE to charge over here.

Oh, Truluck's closed? Last time I tried to use the Supercharger here, the valet guys were NOT nice and basically wouldn't let my friend and I use the charger without paying them. I think they asked for 9 bucks. We said screw this and went to the Qualcomm Sorrento Valley one instead.

This area needs it so badly...Last time I went there with a friend and used the Chargepoint chargers, I got charged a LOT. Not to mention they charge for parking. I wonder if they'll have a Tesla validation for this one.

I didn't even know Diamond Jamboree had chargers. I've never seen them before. They opened the Capital Seafood at Spectrum maybe 6/7 years ago I think. The one at DJ was there at the same time as the second location, but then they closed down.

Just so I'm understanding, are you saying they put chargers at Diamond Jamboree off Alton where the old Capital Seafood location was? Or are you saying that they removed the EA chargers in the structure by the Capital Seafood at the Spectrum?

Yeah, they don't make it super clear. If you find yourself at that charger again, with the Tesla validation, you won't be charged at all. Recently, I even stayed for more than an hour and wasn't charged. Just make sure you don't accidentally click for a regular ticket otherwise you will get...

It's free with Tesla validation for 45 minutes plus a 15 minute grace period to exit the structure. So realistically, you can get an hour free. The Tesla code is in the app and on the Supercharger location on the map. You click Tesla validation and then enter the code.

Yeah it was pitch black when I went other than the spot I chose which was under one of the 2 working lights haha. Then my friend came by when I was almost done charging and all of the lights came on. Also, I kind of cheated by preconditioning with the Tustin - Kensington location since this one...

People were charging there last night so it should be available.

Plugged in here yesterday. Didn't get charged...I was the only person there for almost the entire time because it's not even on the map yet. Maybe I didn't get charged because it's so new. Not complaining though!

Yeah...I went when they first opened and they weren't even roped off or anything. So it became an issue of everyone trying to use them and then realizing they were down. That made for an interesting queue experience...

Also, India Gate is there. One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. But yeah, as far as restrooms or other amenities...I don't think there will be any unless they somehow allow access to the office buildings in there.

They need to build some a bit further out in Newport. Within a few minutes of this location is the Irvine Supercharger on Main, the one on Michelson, and the new one being built on Campus/Von Karman. I guess I understand since there are so many commuters and the airport is close by, but they...

This site is definitely closed. The entire first floor of the parking structure is pretty much closed. I'm not sure if it has anything to do directly with the Supercharger, but it's not just the Supercharging spots that are closed off.

Let us know if you see anything. I passed by there a few weeks ago and there were zero signs of Tesla construction.

Oh wow, I've never had issues with the code here before. I have had issues with the gate and its timing/charging before. I did notice that when I went the other day, it didn't charge me even though I was there for more than an hour. The Tesla validation is only supposed to be for an hour...maybe...

I agree. That's not enough. There is a lack of Superchargers along the Irvine/Newport/Costa Mesa borders...Adding 8 stalls to this corporate complex doesn't really fix anything in my opinion.

It seems like they might be adding more superchargers at the other end of the current Walnut Ave supercharger, potentially behind the KinderCare.

I wonder if they will have special Tesla validation codes like the one up the street on Main.

Forgot to say this one is up and running. I used it New Year's weekend. The big issue was that the second half of the spots were inoperable. I'm not sure if it's been fixed since then.
