EV1 was like nothing else made in the late 90s. It was very small (2 seater) and sat low. It was pretty slow past 30 mph. It was a head turner though. The old ones I mostly drove had maybe 50 miles of actual range.

Look at your charge limits on the car. If you have daily and trip you have NCA. If just percent of SOC, then LFP.

I think Tesla could qualify as a "dealer" under the EV rebate because the DMV has previously made a public policy exception to the law against OEM's owning a dealership to license of the existing Tesla "dealerships." But it is all moot as there is no chance of funding anytime soon.

The Virginia EV rebate passed but was never funded. That is, no money was allocated by the legislature to pay for any of it, and no money will be allocated anytime soon. It's not a Tesla problem, it's a Virginia problem. Here's an article on it...

My EDD is a day later (8/15-9/19) and I ordered in September.

Since fall 21, all RWD M3 for US/CA customer are made in Fremont with LFP cells from CATL in China. It is not exactly clear where the cells are made into a pack but regardless at least the modules if not the entire pack needs to come from China.

My wife was asking what's up with the Tesla. So I explained about LFP, supply chain, Hertz, LR/P priority, etc. Her response was you should just upgrade and move on. I think I will hold out a few more weeks and see if east coast '21 orders start getting VINs.
