    Premium Connectivity Disappeared

The problem is the option to subscribe has disappeared from the app in Software Upgrades. There doesn’t appear to be any option in the Tesla app anymore.

    Premium Connectivity Disappeared

This is the same with me. May 22 MY, and I had been paying for Premiuj connectivity through the app. Come 1st Sep, no premium connectivity - no traffic, satellite view, Spotify etc and yet no more options in the app to continue paying my subscription from before. Quite a PITA…

Update 2022.20.x — Tesla Release Notes

Yes, they bug seems to disregard the variable speed reduction a few hundred metres after passing the variable sign. Don’t know if it’s been fixed in 2022.20.6 which installed today.

Update 2022.20.x — Tesla Release Notes

There is a bug in 2022.20.5 for me. My MY reads the variable speed limit on the M25 (great, and about time), but 300metres later it reverts back to 70, until the next speed limit at the next overhead gantry. It’s almost there, but not quite perfect.

2 EV Household - what else you got?

Model 3 LR and Model Y LR. Will never go back to ICE, except for a nice weekend toy at some point, maybe.

M3 won’t take Zappi excess solar, but MY will?

Thanks for the response. Have replied to you on the myEnergi forum.

M3 won’t take Zappi excess solar, but MY will?

Interesting that this may be a Zappi/Myenergi issue. Both Tesla’s are on up to date software and I can’t see any discernible differences in charge settings.

M3 won’t take Zappi excess solar, but MY will?

Thanks. Still doesn’t seem to apply here.
  9. jlz78

M3 won’t take Zappi excess solar, but MY will?

Thanks for the reply. Haven’t had a charge complete message for the M3. Doesn’t seem to be any software lock up that I can see.

M3 won’t take Zappi excess solar, but MY will?

Zero schedule on the M3. The settings are the same as the Model Y, but it just won’t charge with excess solar.

M3 won’t take Zappi excess solar, but MY will?

I have a Dec 2021 MIC M3LR and a Apr 2022 MIC MYLR. I use a MyEnergi Zappi 2.1 (Wi-Fi) to charge at home and use excess solar. The Model 3 won’t accept charge from Eco + mode (uses excess solar only) at any time, whereas the Model Y happily accepts whatever the Zappi puts its way. When the...

Rumour of free premium for leases cars ending

So, you’ve just contradicted yourself. Would you be surprised or not?
  13. jlz78

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

Both cars are leased, so it’s a massive faff going through the leasing companies to do that, particularly considering how long they took to add us to the app in the first place. The Octopus app says third party integration may also be suitable. Does anybody know what that option may mean?
  14. jlz78

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

I’m having a right faff with IO now a second Tesla has turned up. I emailed Octopus support and asked if a second could be added yet - they said ‘no’ but you can take one off and add the other as often as you like. This was a mistake. When you go to register the other Tesla, as both cars...

    [UK] 2022.8.x

I’ve noticed that selecting the high beam doesn’t bring up the lights sub menu on the lower right of the screen in this new version. This is on a Model Y. I haven’t confirmed it in my M3 yet. Anyone got this?

    Model Y UK Delivery

I collected a MSM MY with Inductions from Bluewater today. The queue to be served was long and slow, and they even put out drinks and snacks which was different to my previous Thorpe park experience last November. They are struggling with the Sahara dust that has hit the southeast recently and...

    M3 MIC 2021 tail lights

I have a 2021 M3LR delivered in Nov 21 with the new taillights, but saw a 2022 registered M3LR with the old lights last week. Bit odd to chop and change between old and new design.

    2022 Shipping Movements

Just got a VIN in source code and updated delivery estimate in app of 15-28th March for Model Y MSM, black 20”. Ordered on day 1 early in the morning. Guessing the ship is either GLOVIS CHORUS or MORNING CARINA. Anyone else?
  19. jlz78

Post your day one Model Y and Model 3 UK pictures

I’m not worried about rear double glazing at all. All of the demo vehicles have had it.

    [UK] 2021.44.30

I think regen is back to where it was previously with .14. Regen had definitely softened with the previous version which caught me out a few times and required use of the brakes, but now on a couple of long drives with .14 seems to be back to original levels.

    Model Y UK Delivery

Tesla have tweaked the user manual to say ‘Parcel Shelf (if equipped)’. A subtle but important clarification.

New Octopus tariff not charging car

I find you get a bit of drain and my direct experience after plugging into the Zappi set to ‘Fast’ (i.e. dumb mode) was that the IO set up did not always turn off the charging fast enough. My Eco+ method works well for me. I turn off IO when the car has finished charging to prevent drain.
  23. jlz78

New Octopus tariff not charging car

The Octopus charge times vary massively. They are rarely completely inside the normal IO low peak window of 23:30 to 05:30. The reason I do the ECO+ schedule is to prevent unwarranted charging outside of the plan, which could occur if the IO system didn’t stop the car after plugging in. This...
  24. jlz78

    Intelligent Octopus Drain

Using Octopus Compare app and looking at cost of base load and peak alongside standing charge, IO worked out £5/week cheaper than similar loads on Go, which I was on previously. There is a two hour longer low rate window on IO and that makes a big difference.
  25. jlz78

    Intelligent Octopus Drain

I turn off the IO app when finished charging and haven’t noticed drain to be an issue. IO works out more than £5/week cheaper for me, compared to Go.
  26. jlz78

New Octopus tariff not charging car

The Zappi works very well for me on Intelligent Octopus (IO). I plug the car in around 5pm and shortly afterwards Octopus publishes my charging schedule for the night, depending on what charge level I request in the app. I then schedule an ECO+ charge in the Myenergi app, starting at the...

    Model Y UK Delivery

Has anybody got experience of ordering a Y and asking their lease company about the post-delivery towbar? How are your leasing firms dealing with this? Tusker don't seem to have a clue....

    Model Y UK Delivery

It’s not Audi quality, but it’s still better than nothing.

    Model Y - Test Drive

the only info I can offer is that the model Y details against my order in the source code show MTY09. I understand this is the same as the Hong Kong delivered Model Y, so if they have it, the UK should have it too. This might be oversimplifying things, but Tesla tends to keep it simple for...

    Model Y UK Delivery

Yes, Lex have taken over the RN. The only way to get a VIN is throuhg either LEX, or a tame Tesla rep who will look it up for you against the RN.

Model Y back seats (calling test drivers)

I found there is considerably more room in the back of the Y, and with the ability to recline the backrest of the rear seats I found it to be much more comfortable and roomy than the M3.
  32. jlz78

    Model Y - Test Drive

And yet they are bigger than the M3 wing mirrors!

    Model Y UK Delivery

I'm not sure Facebook and 'reliable' should be in the same sentence.

    Model Y - Test Drive

I think it’s almost certainly down to personal experience. The ride is firm, but not harsh. I too read the reviews thinking the suspension would be crashing all over the place. That is what I expected going into the test drive, but it wasn’t what I experienced. It’s no air suspension floaty...

    Model Y UK Delivery

I did a back to back today with my M3 vs the Thorpe Park MSM MY. I found the MY more comfortable, but that was due to the higher seating position and better leg angle. I didn’t find the seat itself any more or less supportive.
  36. jlz78

    Model Y - Test Drive

I missed my test drive slot at Thorpe P yesterday for a variety of reasons beyond my control. The Tesla Team were very helpful and I turned up today at lunch time and was given the grey Y without an appointment for a decent 30 min test drive. I have a model 3 LR 2021 with heatpump and standard...
  37. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

Agree - this pretty dubious info. 12v battery upgrade has nothing to do with increased range, and the first pictures of a MY parcel shelf came from Shanghai. The Thorpe Park Grey MY has double pane glass front and rear as well as AMD Ryzen and was built in October before the parcel shelf leak...
  38. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

It could be either a larger 82kWh battery from Shanghai, or more efficient lighter body from Germany with front as well as rear casting. Or both.
  39. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

Tesla website now showing 331miles with 20” inductions and 351 on Gemini. That’s nearly as good as M3LR. Has this recently increased? Different Shanghai battery or more efficient German car with double casting? I’m 100% confident this is nothing to do with 4680.
  40. jlz78

    Model Y - Test Drive

    Great find!
  41. jlz78

    Model Y - Test Drive

They haven’t even made the 4860 production building water tight. 4680 production in Berlin is some way off.
  42. jlz78

    Model Y - Test Drive

I feel like the seat in my M3 won’t go low enough, but I’m coming from BMW. I know the Y will feel higher, but the Westfield one didn’t feel too high. Looking forward to driving it at Thorpe Park tomorrow, but will want M25 time on the 20’’ inductions!
  43. jlz78

    Model Y - Test Drive

I couldn’t really spot much difference apart from the crimson….
  44. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

Is Thorpe Park still accepting test drives without a booking as indicated yesterday?
  45. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

Do any of the test drivers today have any thoughts on the ride quality on inductions? I have a model 3 on standard 18’s and would be interested in knowing if it was significantly harder.

    Rear view camera stuttering

Yes. A few others have reported it too. Hopefully it’s resolved in the next update.
  47. jlz78

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

I don’t think anybody is questioning that part. I think what is concerning is if there is a fair use policy for running other high loads during the low rate window, such as non-Tesla EV’s, or Powerwall/immersion heaters etc.
  48. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

If someone can get a VIN of one of the UK cars we can run it through Tesla Info to see when they were built etc.
  49. jlz78

Octopus Energy, including Intelligent and go

But does Octopus give any indication of what the ‘fair use’ policy actually means?
  50. jlz78

    Model Y UK Delivery

Understandably early purchasers are keen to know about Ryzen, 12v lithium, parcel shelf and rear double glazing etc, but the more exciting proposition is cars from Berlin which will have the front of the car cast as one piece as well. I wonder if Berlin will supply any UK cars in Q2, as those...
