    LED rear reflector turn signals

I had the same worry as I'm in the US and flashing rear lights only appear when the hazards are on. If you are in europe then it's normal for hard braking

    LED rear reflector turn signals

You can just cut the wires for that control the brake lights in the reflectors, it's not a digital signal, it's just a 12v input.

    LED rear reflector turn signals

I paid $60 shipped on aliexpress and they work great. I'm wondering too if flashing on stop is unusual or distracting for other drivers.

Fixing a hole I drilled into the bumper and damaging a threaded piece

I was installing rear side carbon fiber splitters which site on the bumper and are attached with screws and trim tape. The set came with 1 inch screws and the splitter has two holes at the bottom. I prefer not to drill into my car however since the bumper is plastic and tape alone might not be...

    LED rear reflector turn signals

I'm not an electrical engineer but maybe it's possible to add some sort of blinking switch to the 12v red that fixes the lights staying on? Basically a device that when fed 12v power intermittently cuts that power on and off at some rate

    LED rear reflector turn signals

His method works on 2021+ and may some 2020 models as the bumper access panel is a recent additional to the car.

Replace rear deflector with rear fog lights/turn signals

I did this for the Model 3. They were $70 shipped from a store on Aliexpress. They claim to work on the Model 3 and Model Y but the reflector looks similar to the Model X. They use a y cable connected to the tail lights and there are four methods of installation from easy to hard. I don't know...

Installing a Instrument Cluster Dashboard Displayer mickey mouse

I think you have to create a custom adapter for this. Wireless adapters seem to be tied to a specific protocol. I've seen HDMI, USB, and there's even CANBUS adaptors but this is unique. There was a kickstarter that produced a wired to wireless android auto called AAwireless, it's basically a...

    LED rear reflector turn signals

Just a final note for those that come across this , I gave up and cut the red wires which disables the flashing on deacceleration.

    LED rear reflector turn signals

By jumping the red wire from the driver's side to the passengers side and disconnecting the original red wire on the passengers side I was able to get the following situation. State Notes Headlights on Should be Solid Working with either installation type Braking or regen with...

Installing a Instrument Cluster Dashboard Displayer mickey mouse

Someone could make a an adapter attached to a y cable that then streams it to bluetooth. Might be some lag and you would need security.

    LED rear reflector turn signals

I think the confusing thing is that if the red wire is used for the flashing while braking how does that work when it's connected to the rear tail light which is steady. I also tested both sides and they are the same, just in case this was a difference in the light.

    LED rear reflector turn signals

I spoke with the store and he sent me a diagram and said changes had to be made. I had my friend translate but it still not obvious. Since the drivers side does work I wonder if just jumping one cable over the passenger side might work. So the light has the following functions 1. Steady when...

    LED rear reflector turn signals

I have this issue with a 2021 model 3 using lights I purchased off aliexpress. I'm thinking about tapping the yellow on the left side

Installing a Instrument Cluster Dashboard Displayer mickey mouse

I'm not sure I can change functionality, I'll have to look at the format. I'm going to start out by changing graphics by using a replacement binary blob.

Installing a Instrument Cluster Dashboard Displayer mickey mouse

I got this directly from TopFit, I'm pretty sure I have the latest firmware but would someone mind sending it to me? I'm going to try to modify it to fix a few things: 1. Speed limit icon is European style not US 2. The car graphic only shows the pre-refresh chrome trim 3. The background color...

Replacing failed HPWC gen 1 with gen 3

I didn't know the older models went up that high. It makes sense that they changed it, if you plug your car in overnight on an 80amp circuit or a 50amp circuit it's going to get charged even if you were at 0% (very unlikely) and went to 100% (which you wouldn't go to). That way it's cheaper wire...

    Mobile Connector Longevity 2021

I use the Gen 1 mobile connector with a 50amp receptacle on a model 3 since it pulls 40amps instead of 32amps with the gen 2. I picked it up used on ebay and it looks beat up but seems to work fine.

Replacing failed HPWC gen 1 with gen 3

Is the wire rated for a 100amp circuit? I asked because at 25ft you would need #1 gauge wire and I can't imagine that size wire fitting in the lug nuts of the HPWC. If this is a 100amp subpanel with a 60amp circuit for the HPWC that's different.

    Will these wires work?

Just a note. The lower the gauge the more difficult it is to work with, especially #6. You also should think about how many hours it will be plugged in at night and how much you need to charge. A 50amp breaker with 6/3 NM cable or 6/6/10 in conduit would be much easier.

    Will these wires work?

I don't think that's what you want. Where are you going to run the wire?
