Hi!! Finally i was re-Vinned this morning! Houston 03/28/21 OD March 24-28 now EDD I was july and then date range for 4days!!

Another Tesla victim.... my EDD after being a range since January 25 (changed 2 times since early Feb, being the last 3/5 to 3/31) was just pushed to July... A joke. Original order date March 28 in North Houston - Model X LR.... What a joke !

Could be that they already got whatever part(s) was missing and got rid of the old inventory. Hopefully now they are producing and shipping which will be a more predictable schedule for upcoming deliveries. Just a thought

Can my fellow Texan non-Vinners tell me if you already have a delivery window just to see if Tesla is planning a LR shipment in the following weeks? I am in Houston with an EDD Feb 15 to March 6 ( already pushed forward 2 weeks though)…

Same happened to me… this is kind of a joke!! EDD really means nothing. I agree it is just a computer algorithm…

My account went back from TBD back to February…. Same we are building your car again…

My two cents from now until end of the year is that VINs will be assigned to those places where deliveries can be made before end of year… that means that logistics will decide who gets a VIN based on location and not necessarily based on “date of order placement”… meaning we will see lucky...

I just called the Tesla Customer Service phone number 1 888 518 3752 and when prompted I chose Delivery information and then I used my zip code. I am pretty sure somebody in the corporate offices actually picked the call.

Ordered 03/28 … Jan since November… VIN… no VIN… Jan… Feb now. I also switched to 6 seats back in Oct. I just decided to get another car for Tax purposes last week…

Just called the SA. Nice lady. She said that when checking the vin they assigned and then removed… no information is coming along. They said they probably removed it because there was an issue with the number or vehicle and that i was lucky ( can you believe this) because they removed it...

I googled Tesla Model X US sales. In the attached picture 2021 sales stop in June so I used 2019/2020 average

My assumption was 200 blog participants ( spreadsheet with info has 148…) and 20,000 outstanding orders… a normal Model X 1 yr sales. I don’t think the blog represents more than 1.5% tops… but again, is just a guess.

The good news is that we are seeing a higher frequency in VIN assigments… this is good Remember that this chat probably represents about 1% of the total Universe of MX waiting customers…. So for every VIN we see here, that means Tesla assigned 100… so thinks are moving faster now.

I also noticed the new app with the "View" option. After clicking "view" In the schedule tab it says "we are building your Car".... I hope this is true. EDD still January. If I go to the Manage tab... nothing has changed when I log in to my account. I hope these are indeed good news....
