Yay! Received my car yesterday! I'm over the moon. Drove it last night and I have to say the new headlights are great. Nothing to fix as the fit and finish are perfect. I scheduled a service for supply chain parts: 1.) Missing Keyfobs 2.) Parcel Shelf 3.) Lower storage shelf 4.) License Frame

These cars sell fast! When someone posts an inventory link, the car is usually gone within an hour or two.

Okay, it’s been 2 days since my last EDD update, so Tesla moved my EDD out by 2 days from 3/22 - 4/12 to 3/24 - 4/14.

Despite some recent texts from Tesla asking for my preference to purchase or delay, my EDD just got pushed this morning from March 17- March 31 to March 22-April 12

I think Tesla is just scratching the surface with how they use the new lights made by Hella and Samsung. These lights are highly programmable, so I would not rule out that capability coming in a future software update.

What a wide delivery date range to be so close to delivery. Do you have a VIN assigned?

If you are financing for 5 years or more, I would get the gap insurance. There is always a possibility of a short-term loss of the vehicle.

I recommend ordering a new door panel. There also may be water intrusion in the door. I’d remove the panel, check for moisture, and apply a new membrane in the door if required. Then, replace the interior panel with a new one.

The Plaid MS has a black-colored trim piece while the standard version has a body-colored trim piece. You’ll notice the photos of the MS with the new taillights have body-colored trim only when there is no rear spoiler installed. The Plaid becomes more easily identifiable with this change.

Wow! That’s a big pushback given the 4-6 week estimate provided when one configures a new Plaid order (July for Std DM).

Another record for deliveries this quarter! Tesla produced over 305,000 cars and delivered over 308,000 cars in Q4. Up from just over 241,000 deliveries in Q3. Tesla (TSLA) announced that it achieved both record production and deliveries during the last quarter of 2021.

Interesting. I wonder if there is some Zip code logic they are using on the site and that may impact the estimated delivery calculation. Please keep us posted if you see dates again on the page.

Good question. Someone told me they often allocate the VIN before the car is built as the time between production and delivery is usually quite short.

I think your hypothesis is correct. Since it’s only a firmware update, they should be able to clear the backlog quickly, which is why they don’t mind stockpiling the cars. 👍🏻

That is exactly the same timeline for my MSLR delivery. Ordered mine in the same timeframe and my EDD was January and is now Feb 7th - March 7th.

Hi! New here, but I am seeing even next year’s EDD’s moving out. I ordered my MSM MSLR on May 8th and my EDD appeared in early October as Jan 2022, and this week it was updated to February/March 2022. I fear the parts situation is getting worse.
