I would be shocked if the highland has anything that actually matters like new motors or batteries. I'm betting on a purely cosmetic refresh; molding body around newer shaped headlights and tailights. Interior will get a new skin on the dash.
Leave sentry on. Check the boxes to disable sentry sounds and to disable at home.
I always park nose-in cause I think the headlight flash is far more annoying than the tail lights.
Only check the recordings if your car has damage. Done.
I'm in the same boat as you. The EV tax credit + cheap gasoline + tesla dropping the price to meet criteria for the tax credit has pummeled the cost of this car. I think once these go away the price will stabilize, but right now is still near rock bottom.
With how much you've invested with...
You'll get the same range as a long range if you downsize the size. The OEM M3P wheel is 20x9. The long range standard is 18x8.5. Only hard part is finding a wheel that fits over the M3P caliper.
Like others have mentioned the phantom braking has been reduced but its still there. My own opinion...
I didn't want to post this cause it could be total BS, but here's my findings.
I worked with SpotifySupport on twitter, they provided me with a test account and I could log into that just fine. Now I'm pretty sure the problem is only occurring for those of us with family accounts.
I opened a...
The only comfort I have during all this turbulence is that this car is the best one I've ever owned, and if the market screws me over I'll just keep it as a daily driver forever and get something mega impractical on the side.
We all just need to hang in there for a while. If you sell right now you are going to get absolute bottom dollar for your car, and rightfully so because why buy someone's used M3 when you can get a brand new one for the same price.
Just wait for these incentives to dry up, and for the price of...
Same thing is happening to me. I first noticed the other day that my screen was on the login screen even though I was still listening the the playlist it was on last. I've tried everything. Its bugged.
I keep reading about "the whole market is down bro" in regard to Tesla stock, so I compared Tesla, Honda, Toyota, Mercedes, and BMW just to get an idea of where we are at over the past year.
Like others have said when the US strategic reserves dry up the artificially low price of fuel will go away and people will start thinking about EV's once again. Hopefully that means more demand and higher resale value on the M3.
I am hoping that the used car market tanks in the next year or...
If I were in your shoes I'd get some touch up paint and see if they accept it. I bet a full repaint of that bumper is ~$800 based on my previous experience.
For example, my girlfriends car got hit and run in a parking lot and this is how it turned out with a touch up pen (marker) and some...
Tesla software won't allow the car to burnout while front wheels are pointed straight, even with RWD bias and stability as low as it goes. You can only get it to roast the wheels if you are turning. Skip to 14:00 in the video for that.
Just curious... looks like the caddy in front of you barely got hit. Did you by chance have your car set to "hold" when stopped?
I've always wondered how hard the hold keeps you in one spot.
Wondering if anyone has a good contact for epoxy coating in Colorado. I have a large 3 car garage and the concrete is 20 years old and is looking every bit its age.
I drywalled and painted the walls and all it did was highlight how ugly the floor looks.
I kinda doubt I'll get another ICE car after this. I've had too many headaches trying to make my previous cars fast, only for these electric cars to come around and blow them away right out of the box. Not to mention its way cheaper to own and operate.
Unless some other brand comes out with...
Good on you for following through with reporting/repairing. That dude was going to leave you high and dry.
The only thing I am not clear on from this thread is how you are supposed to find the guys insurance company? Call your insurance and hope they will look up the info for you?
Thats what happened with my previous car as well. I had it listed on cargurus, cars.com, facebook, and craigslist. Ended up selling through facebook too.
I didn't read through all 5 pages here but the Genesis EV6 is a very strong argument against the Model Y. The Hyundai Ionic5 as well!
If I wasn't so dead set on performance I'd prolly get one of those.
I had an MS6, Evo, STI, and 335i before my M3P. This car would smash all of them up to any legal speed all while costing pennies to operate.
Downside is this car is not flashy. No one will ask you about it, no one will even try to run you on the street cause they know they'll get wrecked. This...
Someone asked me if the roof was solar on my 3. When I said no they said it would be cool if it was so you never had to charge it all.
I told him a solar roof could charge my cell phone, but prolly would take a month to charge the car lol.
I think the M3P is worth it for the better brakes alone. Car is heavy as hell and I think it feels sketchy when really stomping the brakes even with the big ones.
So if I'm reading into Tesla insurance correctly it looks like your "safety score" is calculated by the camera warning systems in the car and the g-meter sensor.
Just this week alone I've had all of these events:
Collision avoidance event where it saw a car in my blind spot and prevented me...
I just watched some reviews this morning and was impressed with the value of the pro model for $39k. Its almost perfect, but I'd want the extended battery pack and the only way to get that is the next trim level. Was shocking to see a $32.5k difference between the two lol.
I'm real sick of...
Tesla should've just bumped the price of the car up by the price of the connector if they wanted to be greedy. Now the scalpers are gonna gobble up all the mobile connectors.
I exclusively charge my car with mine. Its not like I had a spare laying around like with my old phone.
I've been using this website to look at the latest Tesla release notes and I just installed 2022.8.3. It doesn't say anything about autopilot updates, but something is different with my car on one of the last few updates. Autopilot used to be intolerable on my vision system only car with phantom...
When I first picked up my car I still had Geico and it was outrageously expensive. Like $300+ a month and I have a clean record and I'm in my 30's.
I actually ended up going through PolicyGenius to find a better rate. Switched both the cars and the house to nationwide. Car is like $90 a month...
Quoting myself...
Point 4 is def a lie. Someone has to sit in the drivers seat by law, right?
Point 2 doesn't sound right. Moving a car while not physically present sounds like a massive liability for Tesla, but what do I know.
Location and keys to a vehicle are normal for repo jobs so those...
There's a screenshot making the rounds on the internet concerning repo of Tesla's. I wanted to check what truths there are to all of these claims, specifically:
GPS tracking
Summoning the car remotely
Unlocking/honking the vehicle
FSD self-repo
Is any of what this post is claiming legit?
The drop was so insignificant that I didn't even think to bust out the tape measure until today, and still the only problem is that I feel like I paid for something I didn't get. I went back and looked at my confirmation email and sure enough it doesn't say its lowered there so I'm def not going...
Just quickly skimming through the most recent posts and wanted to say that my December delivery 22 M3P doesn't have lowered suspension.
I know for certain when I clicked the purchase button on Tesla is stated it was lowered, and now with the recent Tesla app update you can scroll to the bottom...
I had an F30 335i (automatic) before my M3P. Had bolt-ons & tune, was faster than F80 in stock form.
The pros of the BMW were its looks inside and out, sounded great, felt sportier from the drivers seat. Cons were it got 18mpg and little things kept needing maintenance. I wasn't enjoying...
Let me be the first to say that I'm not above the famous "home depot" mods for my car lol.
Anyways, I'm stuck at home with too much time on my hands and wonder if drip line (irrigation hose) would work haha. I'm tempted to go out and try it.
The windshield of the 3 is basically flush with the A pillars for aerodynamics so of course the water is going to fly everywhere.
In most other cars there's a giant "gutter" that the water gets pushed into and across the roof.
I couldn't care less about it.
Same thing happened to me. Was looking at M3's and RS3's and the dealers I talked to were playing games. Wanted to get me to put money down to get in line not knowing when the car would arrive, and not wanting to discuss getting the car for MSRP. The sad thing is that even if I got one it...
I had some pretty fast cars before my M3P.
2010 Evo X - Upgraded turbo & supporting mods. Made 400whp and 400wtq.
2015 STI - Full bolt on E85 - 360whp 430wtq.
2015 BMW 335i - Downpipe & tune. Never dyno'd but mods should have made it have mid 400 whp/wtq.
Now I have this and its so cheap and...
