I think I found the issue - the panel under the dashboard isn’t fully snapped in, so it’s covering part of the screen. Scheduled a service appointment - probably could fix it myself just by pushing down on it but don’t want to break it.

Yes I had the same problem and this was the route cause. Need to get back in the car quickly and push the connect button (forget the exact name of the button) within that 30 sec after you hit the learn button on your garage door opener or it doesn’t catch, even though the car will say that it did.

I think that was it. I was in the car in the garage for s a long time leading what’s what. Checked this morning and the sound is gone.

Just (maybe) unraveled the mystery doing my own search. There are two different EECUs. The one in Cali (myeecu.org) has the 1.99 rate but pretty narrow membership criteria. The one in Texas (eecu.org) has the 3.34+ rate but less stringent membership criteria (you can pay $5 to their org and get in).

How do you secure a loan ahead of having a VIN and delivery date with DCU? Thought you would need to be imminently buying the car. Might be interested in going this route to lock in the lower rated (though my car is probably still months away).

Had almost the same experience, except the no one contacted me after ordering and ultimately I had to chase down the dealership to get my car. Now it seems they’ve changed the program so that you can’t order online, but need to work with the dealership to see what they have in inventory already...
