Result! Heated wheel and rears have finally been activated, exactly one week since delivery..

I sent a text to the number that confirmed my existing service call. They’ve said they are going to look into it remotely.

I got an initial text back saying that the car shouldn’t have heated wheel and rears, so I pushed back and asked why others with the same spec delivered this year have them? It’s now being looked into and I’m waiting to hear back again. Could be that you’ll also need to contact them @Rgascoigne71

Nope, the buttons are missing. The guy at the SC advised me to take some pictures of the missing controls and reply to the text confirmation that I received for my other problem. He said it’s something that they should be able to fix remotely. cc @Rgascoigne71

Ahh ok @Rgascoigne71 , good to know I’m not alone. I’ve also already got a service appt organised to sort a chip that was on the front bumper when delivered but that’s not until mid April. I’m only a few mins from my local SC so I might just pop over there tomorrow and have a chat with them...

A question for those who have picked up RWD 3s recently.. do you have your heated steering wheel and rear seats? I’ve had the car since Monday, even got a software update last night but still no heated rears/wheel.

Any reason why you can’t transfer over your current RN? Worth asking.

From my experience Tesla were happy to talk to me directly once the lease company had done everything they needed to do at their end to authorise the vehicle. Probably worth a quick call to Tesla to check that they have everything they need from the lease company and that your account is in order. A car with identical spec is currently available on the inventory page.

From what I’ve seen in this and previous threads, I think it’s normal for this to happen a few times before the collection/delivery date is finally pencilled in. I wouldn’t worry.

This is interesting as I’ve literally just been told the opposite, that all Q4 cars have been allocated and to get anything now would require a cancellation. Honestly don’t know what to believe anymore.

I don’t know the answer but I’m in the same boat and that’s why I’m chasing both the lease company and Tesla directly. Both are saying that they’re waiting on each other. It’s a nightmare and I can see myself missing out on this quarter at this rate.

I’ve been back and forwards between lease company and Tesla. Tesla say they’re waiting on info from the lease company and lease company say they’re waiting on Tesla. Absolute nightmare, apparently there are spreadsheets involved. 🤦🏼‍♀️
