I am a woodworker so I am fully capable of performing repairs when necessary. I am not Terribly confident about the ins and outs of this vehicle and not interested in voiding any warranties. That said I am annoyed they they won’t do it since it doesn’t sound like a big deal.

We received our car exactly two years ago in August 2021. I only know that my software says it is not enabled. I do know that I am not going to swap the part myself. I am a well qualified eye surgeon not an EV mechanic.

I have put in multiple service requests to have the retrofit done in White Plains , NY. Every time I complete the appointment request I get a phone call or message about a half hour later saying that it isn’t available yet and I will get an email when it is ready. Pretty frustrating.

Does anyone know when TESLA will start installing retrofits for model 3 that were shipped without the necessary hardware?

Can I get my model 3 - 2021 not enabled for CCS - upgraded by Tesla yet in Westchester, NY so I can use CCS chargers if necessary? Traveling to Maine where Tesla superchargers are sparse. I have tried several times to schedule this but have been told I need to wait.

With the adoption of Tesla charging systems by most of the other car companies Ford, GM, etc, is there any reason I would need a CCS adaptor at this point?

yes. I just posted above that I did a soft reset on the advice of Tesla support by pressing and holding both scroll knobs until the screen went dark after I had the same problem and it solved it. The screen comes back, first with the Tesla symbol after about 20-30 seconds.

I used the live camera mode one time to warn my wife to stay away from the Tesla and it worked beautifully. The next time I tried it nothing happened. I called Tesla support and they advised me to do a soft reboot/reset by pressing both scroll buttons until the screen went off and then waiting...
