I have this update ready for download, but for some damn reason my X no longer connects to my home WiFi. I never had an issue before, but now, it tells me to connect to wifi and sees my network. It then fails to connect. I'll have to figure this out and get that update!

I just found a spontaneous stress crack in the glass on the roof of my left FWD today. I scheduled service for this Tuesday and the estimate is $1280! I sure hope they warranty it, because nothing hit this upward facing glass.

Auto shift beta is awesome! Works perfectly for me and really gets rid of the annoying need to swipe the screen when backing out of garage or parking. Almost as good as a “stalk”!

It likely has the very annoying horn button vs. center pad horn that was launched on all 2024 model X's.

The one pedal driving is one of the best features on my X. Why anyone wouldn't want to use it is beyond me. My wife hated it at first too, but after a bit of seat time it "clicked" and now she loves it.

The tax credit comes right off the total owed at time of purchase. Mine was a cash payment, so it reduced my amount by $7500. I'd think if you financed it would simply reduce your loan amount; but I'm not sure if you can directly apply it as down payment.

I'm not buying that "we gave away your VIN to someone else". I'm betting the car had a serious flaw or was damaged in transit so badly that they knew they couldn't pass it off on you. Count your blessings.

It should have no bearing on the SC location. Simply tell them you're not paying until you see/inspect the car. I've bought two Tesla's and both times they wanted me to pay/sign first, but a simple "I'd like to inspect the car first" is all it takes. If they refused, I'd have walked away.

Nice! I had a white X on order and then I switched to Ultra Red after seeing one. Luckily I made the switch about a day before the paint charge went into effect, so it was still a "tax edition". You'll love the red.

I would message your SA and mention that you saw the vehicle in the lot and noticed the door adjustment issue. Ask them to have it fixed before delivery or you'll be rejecting the vehicle.

I too thought they’d be locked down to 85, but I went a “bit” over that with no alerts or issues. The speed limit here on I84 is 75mph so traffic outside of town flows 85-90 easily.

I had a Plaid MX last week when my MX was in for PDR. I will say that the extra power was a blast. I was shocked they didn’t have Plaid mode locked down on a demo, but I guess they figured it sells more Plaids.

Sharpie works! I hit a few spots on my MYP wheels before trading it in on my X. Nothing was said, heck they didn’t even look over the car more than a glance.

Zaino is good stuff, but I'm not sure that PPF will stick well on top of it. That's why they normally do PPF first and then ceramic coat over the PPF. Your right that Zaino is not ceramic, but it's a polymer sealant that makes paint slick. I'd reach out to Sal Zaino and see what they recommend.

They should. Any 2024 VIN should. My X is a Feb. build and had the new horn/camera wheel.

Give it a few days and the turn signals will be fine. Now the shift stalk I do miss! It was much easier to quickly flip from R/D in my MYP. I just returned my X Plaid loaner and got my tax edition back from paintless dent repair. Glad to have a steering wheel back! I hate that yoke!

It all hinges on the quality of your Tesla SA. I had a MYP I bought in 2022 and got zero communication from my SA. On my recent X order/delivery, my SA was great and always accessible via text to handle any questions.

I took my tax edition 2024 X into Tesla today so they could PDR a very tiny dent in the door that was there upon delivery. They gave me a 2023 6 seater X with the yoke as my loaner. Damn I'm glad the tax edition forced me to the get the wheel! I hate that fricken yoke! It's nice for dash...

I've never heard a bigger sales BS line in my life! NO way are they going to pull a car from inventory and repaint it. It would require a complete tear down of everything. I feel that they were just hoping to lock in a sale and then match you with a car or put one on order.

Good call. We have RGB lighting on the wife’s RX350 and her prior Audi. It’s on the dash and door panels. It’s a cool feature for about 5 minutes and then you forget all about it. Bells/whistles.

Yes, I agree. I should have added that I think it may have something to do with the MyQ integration I had on my previous MYP that I moved over to the X. At least the MyQ alerted me that my door was left open!

I tried to use the Homelink feature on my 2024 X and had nothing but issues. It programmed and worked just fine from the car screen, but then I started getting phantom garage door openings when I was miles away or had the X parked in the garage overnight. I finally gave up and deleted it and...

If I waited for the latest X update, I'd never have a car! I could care less about RGB ambient lights, that's just a frivolous toy. Now the front camera is a useful upgrade and I hope they make a retrofit available for my recently delivered 2024 X.

Agreed. All those "hex" shapes would be a maintenance nightmare! So far, the Tesla branded WeatherTech mats are the best I've seen. And, they were "free" with my self referral credits.

The matte finish glass screen really cuts down on glare and fingerprints.

Interesting. I picked up my X last Friday and got the tax credit applied at point of sale with no issues. My price did not change from the original order price on 12/2. They gave me the window sticker, and it showed the car over $80k with the $2500 paint surcharge that was added recently.

You're not missing anything. Up until a few weeks ago, you could order any color X with no other options and still be under the $79,995 cap. I'm picking up my Ultra Red tax edition Friday!

You don’t need to pay before getting a delivery date. I just got my VIN Saturday and I uploaded insurance. EDD is 2/16-19 and they haven’t asked for payment. I indicated cash payment with a trade.
