How to Use Tesla Pro App as End User?

THANK YOU @offandonagain - this right here is what I've been searching for and was unable to find until now. Using this very simple procedure, I'm now able to log into my gateways with the Tesla One app and see stats, change settings, etc.

    Powerwall Requires Reconfiguration Home Assistant

Hi @SailorDave - I don't have a solution for you, but am curious as to how you set up your Powerwall + integration with Home Assistant. I'll send you a PM.

Tesla One app - is this app of use to us as Powerwall/Solar owners?

Replying to myself in case others see this thread - I apologize as I didn't realize I was duplicating a very similar thread - How to Use Tesla Pro App as End User? I don't see a way to delete my own thread or change the title, so I'll just park this here. The "similar threads" feature is nice...

Tesla One app - is this app of use to us as Powerwall/Solar owners?

Greetings, I've just recently (within the past month) finalized the install, commissioning and PTO for my Tesla solar install here at my house. I'm running two gateways and 4 Powerwall+ (2 per gateway) and throughout the install process I watched as my installer used the Tesla One app to look...

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

It really would! I'm holding on to hope that we can get - at the very least - the ambient lighting. That would be amazing.

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

I'm hoping for a retrofit for the ambient lighting and if so, I'm all over that. I've also read on X where the front bumper camera will not be offered for retrofit, so it still feels like a toss-up.

    About $6K all in.

Is the 2023 Model X suspension just not refined?

That's funny - I've got a '22 MYP as well (my wife drives it) and this will be good testimony to look back on once I get my sway bar installed. I'll be thinking about this from a comparative standpoint as well.

    Matte PPF on ultra red

@Space Cowboy - sure thing - happy to respond to that. So - I'm about 5 months on with the Stealth PPF and I'm still happy I went that route vs. clear. One thing I will say is that the "luster" of the Ultra Red is not lost when covered with the Stealth PPF - it's just muted. If I walk up to...

Model X Matrix LED Lights (Finally)

Isn't that only for vehicles in the EU? That's how I've heard it from different sources.

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

Thank you @Bypass and @Tessellation - this kit looks fantastic - I will say that. I may wind up going that route if we don't see an official offer from Tesla relatively soon. Honestly - I doubt Tesla will ever make this a retrofit, but hope springs eternal here. ;) I've got some questions...

Has anyone integrated Leviton Load Center + Tesla gateway?

The Leviton gateway mentioned in the original post supposedly has this functionality built it and can turn down the configured circuits (once configured)... if I'm reading everything correctly that should provide the same "circuit" functionality you're referring to - correct?
  15. EightBitWhit

Has anyone integrated Leviton Load Center + Tesla gateway?

@Will792 - thank you. I'll download the gateway manual and dig into this further. It looks like I'll be able to accomplish my goals since the gateway would tell the LHWHEM (via the low voltage control circuit loop) when load shedding should be activated and then the LHWHEM handles turning...
  16. EightBitWhit

Has anyone integrated Leviton Load Center + Tesla gateway?

I have Leviton Load center service panels in my house with the LHWHEM (2nd generation) hub and it supports circuit load shedding when the hub is told that the panel is running on backup power. The Leviton hub has a loop wire that is designed to be connected to a dry contact on an automatic...

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

@furuike - I talked with the installer and was told it was due to the dimensions of my roof and the area being used for panels vs. the dimensional differences between the 370W panels and the 400W panels. I was told I could get more of the 370W panels in the same area and better meet my total...

Is the 2023 Model X suspension just not refined?

@Milan Djabirov - I've recently purchased one of these for my MXP and am curious which of the three possible settings "holes" you went with on the install? Does the bar come with installation instructions that detail the settings, or did UP guide you on the setting you chose to go with?

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

@CrazyRabbit - Question for you based on the above - how do I calculate kW load from kWh over the course of a month? The conversion formula itself is simple, but I'm not sure what to use for the time variable to get the load number I'm needing. The Leviton load center panels and my Utility...

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

I'm going to check with the installer and see why they are recommending the 370W panels. I talk with them in person on Tuesday afternoon, so I'll have some updates to the original post and questions from them after that meeting takes place.
  24. EightBitWhit

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

When you say 31kW of solar is a lot for 4 Powerwalls, are you meaning that it's near the edge of what they can cumulatively accommodate or that 4 Powerwalls isn't really enough to service that load? I'll ask the installer about the remote building comment as well!
  25. EightBitWhit

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

Appreciate the input. My only hesitation in doing that is losing the ability to run the other circuits in the house on the second panel (outside of the 2 chargers) and some of those are critical circuits (sump pump, radon fan, food freezers, etc.). I really need to run a mix of circuits from...

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

I asked the installer the same question and I was given a response that they've had "teething issues" (mainly reliability) and very little time in market and wouldn't be widely available until mid/late 2024, so their reasoning was the Powerwall + was a mature product at this time and wouldn't...
  27. EightBitWhit

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

I appreciate the input... I'll show it to the installer and talk about it with them. You mention the "Powerwall dashboard" - is that part of the Tesla app itself or is it available directly via the software on the inverters and/or gateways that I'd log into separately?
  28. EightBitWhit

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

I can get instantaneous (Watts each circuit is using) and historical consumption (kWh) information for each circuit and the entire panel through the Leviton LDATA hub, but that's the extent as it currently sits. I wish the LDATA hubs would expose more information, and maybe they do, but I'm...

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

Understood. I'll look into what Silfab provides - if anything. The "Tesla Pro" app looks like it provides some additional data and monitoring - have either of you used that?

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

I appreciate the visual there - very helpful. As far as my utility reporting goes, my highest month consumption-wise over the past 12 months was 3,955 KwH. I'm not sure what time factor to use in the forumula to convert that back to peak Kw. The panels are in vertical orientation...

Tesla App Zoomed in When You First Open

I'm seeing this as well (iOS). It started with 4.28 where both the car animations would "loop" forever and the house animation would slowly zoom in over the course of a 2-3 minutes (I did a screen recording to time it and it took right at 2:30 to fully load). iOS app version 4.28.1 fixed the...

(Please) rate my setup - how does this look?

Hi everyone - I'm in the final stages of negotiations with my solar installer and before I commit to hard dollars, I'd appreciate some feedback on the proposed system I'd be installing. Here's some level-set on the house configuration and consumption: 400A service split across two 200A panels...

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

This is excellent news - thanks for continuing to follow-up on this! Every finger I have is currently crossed that we can do the retrofit *and* get the software integration enabled. That would be amazing.

Model X Plaid : Track Package and CCBs

I don't feel like I ever have overpowered the brakes (per your questions above) and as such I've not seen the warning light and I wasnt on any track. But in comparing my two Teslas, side-by-side, the braking feel on the X is nowhere near as good as the Y Perf - that I can say 100% due to...

Model X Plaid : Track Package and CCBs

It's as much want as it is need. My wife's 2022 MYP has better (more confidence inspiring, better pedal feel) brakes on it than my MXP does - and I can confidently say that having logged ample seat time in both vehicles. Any time that I find myself needing to get into the brake pedal, I always...

Model X Plaid : Track Package and CCBs

Curious as to what your take is on why you wouldn't consider tracking it? I personally wouldn't track mine either, but I would want the better brakes and the software for thermal management...basically anything that makes the overall experience of ownership better for a vehicle that is capable...

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

Fair enough - that's at least something to go on. I'll check with my local authorized service contact to see what would even be possible once any retrofit is confirmed... it's a few steps that all need to go in the proper order before I'd even consider burning someone else's time to help.
  38. EightBitWhit

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

Great detail - thank you for that + the pictures. That brings me some hope that this could potentially be done. Is that updated gateway file modified locally and then submitted back to Tesla's API for processing or is there a system by which someone can modify the "value" keys on the fly?

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

Good to know - I'll see if I can find it.
  40. EightBitWhit

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

That's good to know on the service manual - I will look into that. If the parts do become available, I'll order them and attempt an install - I have no issues doing that. You mention the gateway changes - can you explain that a bit further? I do have a contact that is a registered 3rd-party...

Ambient lighting for 2023 Model X?

@snorlax - Let's hope that's indeed the case (with the wiring harness already being there) and can indeed be retrofitted. If that's possible, I'm getting in line to have it done. The implementation on the Model 3 Highland looks fantastic and I'd love to have that in my Model X. How have you...

Model X Plaid : Track Package and CCBs

You bring up a good point - I have not, but I can certainly ask. I'm assuming we'd have to do the purchase through the Tesla app to get the parts assigned to our account and then they could potentially install. It feels a bit wonky, but if it works, it works! Hopefully Tesla will officially...

Is the 2023 Model X suspension just not refined?

Now this is interesting...Service is saying they can correct a steering wheel shudder with a software update? Crazy - but great all at the same time. I don't experience any vibration (that I can tell) above 65+ but I'll pay extra attention now to see if I can pick up on it. My car has -...

Just got a MXP pics & couple of issues...

@James Cole - in response to the door button open issue, mine has been very reliable. I don't like that the switch has no haptics and feels flat and without feedback - but it does work and works every time I use it (so far). On the acceleration shudder question - my '23 MXP was a June 2023...

Is the 2023 Model X suspension just not refined?

Appreciate the follow-up. This confirms what my next set of tires will be. I hope you're able to get the steering vibration issue sorted... would love to know what the final resolution is there once Service has their way with the vehicle.

Is the 2023 Model X suspension just not refined?

@Leek4u - question for you ahead of getting the PS AS4's installed tomorrow... would you mind to measure the sidewall height of the Falkens? I'd love to compare that to the Continental sidewall height and then again to the AS4's after you have them on as it would help to know how the three...
