Tesla are delivering my car to my house next week, as I’m leasing mine. They send you a text with a link to track it. How reliable is that tracking? I need to shoot into work for the morning and I assume it’s coming from Southampton and I live in Suffolk.

Just put the Tesla on my insurance (direct line) From the 11th March to when the policy ends on the 1st May and they only wanted £14! 😳 They did say they might not be able to insure it after that date as I was leasing the car through my business.

Yep, I texted my full address and haven’t heard back yet. I’m not bothered now, with delivery just over two weeks away. Wish they could deliver it to work, then I wouldn’t have to take the day off! Are you leasing your M3?

Just had a text from Tesla saying my RWD In blue is being delivered Friday 11th March. I guess they won’t deliver to another my workplace instead of my house? I assume they don’t turn up first thing either?

I’m not sure about this. How come Tesla gave me all the info like the Vin and reg? I‘m leasing through ALD. As for ALD, they don’t want to talk to their customers.

@Mr Miserable, Emma from Tesla has given me my VIN and Reg number. She said my RWD M3 will be delivered to me around the 15th March. It’s coming into the UK a few days before. Which ship should I be keeping a eye on? RCC Amsterdam? Thanks for your help!

I’ve just got my VIN from Emma on the Tesla chat. Just gave her my RN number and she gave me the info. I’m leasing through Tesla and ALD, so you won’t find out any info on the website

I might ask Mr Miserable if he knows what ship it might be on considering Emma said the car will be in the UK around the 10/12th March.

Success! Finally got through to Emma on the Tesla chat. She sent me the information I wanted. My VIN is LRW3F7FS9NC505###. Reg number is going to be GU22 ###. Should be delivered to me around 15th March. Arrival in the UK a few days earlier. Blue RWD 18 Aeros. Ordered 15/12/21.

I’m still waiting for SMS from Davide, which he promised me yesterday. Haven’t seen the chat button today. Think he’s trying to avoid me!

I’ve too just chatted with Davide as well this afternoon. Promised me to send me a sms with what I assumed had a vin number in as the car is matched. Haven’t received the text yet….. Hope he’s still a top guy! 😜

Just had a look at these rimblades. Noticed they’re stuck on with high bond 3M tape. Will they leave quite a lot of residue if they’re taken off, when I hand the car back at the end of the lease?

When Tesla say you’re matched to a car, does that mean it’s on the ship or sitting in the docks in china?

Great news! Emailed my TA today to see if it’s progressing ok. He’s confirmed I’ve been matched with a blue RWD. Should have it mid March! Will believe it when I receive a few more texts from Tesla.

Crikey. I’m in the same situation with ALD. I better give them a call tomorrow and chase it up.

I guess Teslas are fully charged when leaving the factory? Otherwise the time waiting at the docks and the journey on the ship, they would be towards being flat? Especially those models which suffer the phantom drain! By the way, many thanks for your regular updates. Much appreciated!

Hi, have you had any more contact from Tesla and ALD? I’m in the same situation. Absolutely no contact from both ALD and Tesla. SR RWD in metallic blue.

I’m right to assume that I cannot get the vin number in the source code if my M3 RWD is being leased through ALD automotive? Ordered it on the 15/12/21. Got my deposit back on the 31/12/21, when the lease company took over the RN number.

Mines the same. I’m leasing it from ALD so I can’t see the updates on my account. I’ll have to phone the leasing company and hassle them!
