Same noise in my Model 3. Speed needs to be over 40 km/h (25 mph) to make the sound appear when coasting. Then very annoying especially since it kicks in and out so abruptly when shifting between coasting ant thotteling. (Using cruise control on flat roads going 40 mph is the worst…)...
No good news. Shop said it was a known issue for any cars newer than 2017 (or something. Was related to new type of screen etc.) The manager said he had exactly the same problem with his model X, and ended with «we’ll just have to hope they come up with a fix for the software».
I have exactly the same issue with my M3 (delivered 30 dec 2021). I have reported the issue to Tesla, hopefully they will fix it when they fix other issues with the car on monday (31st jan.)
Just to chip in, exact same problem here from day 1 (which was 30. december 2021). Kind of comforting that I am not the only one - altough we would all benefit from not havibg the issue, of course. Will you keep us posted after the service?
