    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Sometimes I wanna sell this and get an m3 touring. Then I see it and I have second thoughts

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Don’t think many or any standard passenger cars or SUVs come with them installed. If anything it’s a way for dealers to upsell you in accessories. The law actually varies state to state but as a general rule mudflaps arent required by law but wheels abs tyres that extend beyond the body line...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Only really see them on trucks and utes…. Maybe 10% of cars and SUVs have them and of those I’d say 90% are too small to make a practical difference to following traffic

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Lol what are you talking about. I’d say the 3 stock cars in front of me all have more exposed tyre than I do

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

After 9 months in storage I finally put these on. 19x10 all round, +31 front, +25 rear with 275/35r19 Kumho PS71 Mountain pass comfort coils, plus the rear of their suspension catalogue. Needs a wash badly and needs the rear left window retinted but very with how it turned out. Thanks to...

Tesla opening up the Supercharger network in Australia to other brand EVs.

I think it’s a great idea. These are all assets for Tesla and an asset is only as valuable as the amount of revenue it brings in. I’ve been to berry, heatherbrae, erina, Canberra and Coffs Harbour many times and been the only one charging or been 1 of only 2 charging. Those chargers sit...

The quest for wider wheels and tires, 295, 305 and beyond...

Thanks man, I figured as much. Looks like I’ve got some more wheels that’ll work nicely then. I was gonna put 285 or 295 on a 30 profile on them but got a new job and have to drive a lot more for work now so car will see a lot more street use than I was expecting

Anyone know if a spacer would be needed on the front of a 2021 performance with stock rotors and a 19x10 +31 and a 275/35

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

From what I understand about giga Shanghai is that 3 and Y and built in the same factory but on different production lines. Opening model Y orders will probably result in some reduction in Model 3 backlog and ease pressure on Model 3 demand and also offer an alternative to prevent 3 wait times...

    Tesla Model Y in Australia

As an owner of 2 model 3s I had the same thought but rego costs are usually calculated on delivery. Called and asked the advisor and they said that final invoice will show the updated LCT price. They said they legally can’t show projected changes to govt fees until the effective date which makes...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Anyone had any issues fitting the TPMS sensors to wheels that aren’t specifically designed to take them, and if so what was your solution?

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Love the bronze on the white! Question though, is there a reason that you went for the 255/35 rather than a 265/35 which is closer to the factory diameter?

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

It’s most likely a combination of the fact that the Model Y has taken away some of the demand for Model 3 in the US but the Fremont factory is still topped with a significant amount of capacity for Model 3 production. Add to that the fact that Giga Shanghai has demand outpacing its ability to...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Hi all, Long time reader (3+ years) first time poster. I’ve been lucky enough to own a Model 3 Performance for a little over a year and recently took delivery of a RWD Model 3. My brother also took delivery of one of a Shanghai built Model 3 Performance mid-2021 and we couldn’t be happier...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

Tesla removed the ability to adjust the strength of regen braking some time last year. To be honest it can be a little surprising at first, especially if you’ve come from an auto rather than manual trans car. I recently took delivery of a RWD M3 for my business and have personally had a...

    Australian Model 3 Waiting Room

I think this point is pretty valid for those coming from a compact cars, like a lot of those living in big cities do, however it’s not really surprising. The Model 3 has more than 40cm extra in its wheelbase over a Polo and nearly 80cm in overall length. The turning circle is pretty...
